Something is going on with this expansion draft today. Word is that Atlanta did very well for themselves, and whatever it is has Bill Laimbeer back on the message boards talking about a big trade...

We should know soon.

ah fudge ...

not a surprise, but certainly bitter news for a Haynie fan like me ... ; ( ... I still haven't really wrapped myself around losing Tangela Smith, but what are ya gonna do ????

I look at it like it's a business and goodness knows as an A's fan I know what the business side of sports is like. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision to make, but it is what it is.

I'm pretty sure the plan is to pick up a back up point or guard of some sort since this defensive system requires 5 guards and we just lost one. Very nice class of defensive pgs in this year's draft and with a boat load of picks in the 3rd we should be able to snag one there, or perhaps with our first rounder. Or see who is available in the free agent market as well.

Best wishes to Kristen in Atlanta! ARCO Thunder will certainly welcome her back to Sac very warmly like we always do.

Best of luck to Haynie on her new team, she leaves SacTown a champion of the WNBA!
Anyone know what players besides Haynie the Monarchs left avalible for the draft today?

I don't think that info gets released, that's supposed to stay confidential. But I can't imagine the actual protected list looked any different from what we all speculated if Haynie was the one they took.
