Christie has ankle surgery
Magic guard Doug Christie, who played just 21 games for the Magic after coming in a trade from Sacramento, had surgery on his left ankle Wednesday in Seattle, according to General Manager John Weisbrod. Christie went on the injured list March 5 with bone spurs. Weisbrod said that what started as a simple arthroscopic procedure became more complicated when doctors needed to make an incision to remove several bone fragments, which will require a longer rehabilitation period.
