Don't forget to give some love to RA

While we're praising the team for their heart and drive, we need to give some major props to Rick Adelman. He's the one who put the right guys out there at the right time.

They always say that players get the credit for the wins and coaches get the blame for the losses.

Well, tonight I think there's enough credit to go around. So, Coach Adelman? This one's for you!!!!

Goooo Adelman!!!

I remember thinking to myself when Adelman called a timeout with 9 seconds left, no way in heck we can lose this, Adelman is too awesome in these situations.

::Claps Claps::

he's doing this all and has he is so quick to remind us in all his interviews this team has barely practiced let alone practiced together

RA woohoo!!

Certainly Rick is earning the respect of the rest of the league with these last 4-5 wins. I wouldn't be surprised if "Coach Of The Year" nomination is looming for him. Additionally, he has earned much needed respect from moi.

Thanks for the MAGIC wins Rick!!!

Kudos to RA and the rest of the coaching team. This was one of those games where careful coaching made the difference. Rick Adelman had his work cut out for him tonight since some of his key players (Songaila & Evans for example) had quiet games. RA did anything & everything & this game turned out a W. Nicely done.

I'll give love to Adelman if he plays the subs more often when Webb and Peja get back. They've proved their worth.

People keep on saying that, and each has had a chance to shine. But the fact of the matter is that Mike and Brad have had to step way WAY forward and put up career-best numbers for us to even beat poor teams. Darius, Mo and Evans have all shown they can play, but its not as if they have stepped in and smoothly replaced the contributions of the starters.

You meant Matt :D Mo doesn't die he multiplies.

Right but aren't they supposed to only bring numbers when it matters. If they were that huge in terms of contributions they'd be starters :)

To me they've really shown up and thus deserve more playing time especially when Kings are up by 15 or 20.

More on RA...
Did you know he has only had 3 losing seasons in his 15 years of NBA coaching?
He is also quickly approaching 700 wins.

Complimentary Team ...

It's not like Coach Adelman is alone or has a choice in all this ....

3-starters = gone
6th Man off the bench = gone
Little to practically ZERO practice between games
putting reliability/responsibiity on Barnes/Songaila/Evans
going into a ZONE defense
Miller/Bibby carrying the team
TO's are down
assistant coaches working OT one-on-one (when time allows)
this list could go on-n-on

my point is ....

Everyone is making a contribution

but

Coach Adelman is making the decisions

as Donald Trump would say ... SIGNS OF A GREAT LEADER

Exactly^ The starters are still avg 70+ pts even when there is only 2 of them! The subs have stepped up and played their roles but once again it's the starters carrying this team. One thing we've seen though is our bench has a serious will to win, they just find a way to make the huge hustle plays when they need to. I think Rick will trust in these guys more but he had to see how they would respond in these pressure situations first, and now he has.
