DOMANTAS “NBA Malpractice” SABONIS

Should Sabonis start skipping practice more often in order to play like vs the Wizards?
So Domas is leading the league in rebounds, double doubles (total and consecutive), 3point percentage (48.2%) and he is on pace to become the first player in NBA history to have 60% from the field (60.5% at the moment) and 40% or better from 3 point line.

the man is on a mission. unmatched heart and energy.

Is that good? I think that's good. I'll need Ham to confirm, though, right?

Should be good enough for third-team All-NBA.

but but butt butt - he is just a a wannabe stat padder. Kings don't allow anyone else to grab rebounds. Domas takes shots only when opposing teams rims are adjusted. Refs don't let him near the free throw line cause he can't shoot. Only dunks after offensive fouls. He is what is wrong about NBA. Just toxic to the team. That's why MB didn't last long. Right?
That's why "fans" try to keep him from the ASG game. Flops, offensive fouls, travels all the time. Dirty player. Cheap fouls on defense all the time. Got many players elbows injured with his face and balls. Pacers were blessed by the gods to let him go.

MB had Domas back. DC has it now. Still, though stats are just stats, under DC and with Domas giving 100+% all the time, stats got crazier.
Now we see Domas peeking and carving a realm in the NBA never seen before. He is not MJ, Magic, Bird and others, but man, he really plays "special".

26 points on 12 shots is absurd. Not only hit a couple more 3s, but 8/8 on FTA. We sort of just gloss over 18 rebounds now, but that's just become his norm to have 15+ every game.

He'd league the NBA in FTA if he were called like any other star. The fact he's able to push through a bad whistle game in and game out is awesome

The fact that nobody was talking about this in the game thread kills me.

26/18 on insane efficiency? Whatever, that's an average game for him these days.

We're all spoiled haha

This was in a recent article, didn’t see it posted.

“I’m happy I’m in Sacramento,” Sabonis said. “My offseason home’s in Napa. I couldn’t be happier here. I love the fans. I love playing for the city. I just wish we could perform better and give them what they deserve.”

Yeah, this has always been reflected in his play. I've never once had to question Domas's heart or hustle on the floor. He may not always be effective (very rare), but I damn well know he's giving it his best out there. To me, this is "How do we build this thing up" sort of statement, not a "I want out of here" statement

Such an easy and awesome guy to root for. Would be a real bummer if we traded him and actually did blow this thing up.

I’ve been critical of his defense this year, but his offensive game yesterday was incredible. I think that was the best version of Domas’s game. He was not afraid to take outside shots and punish them for how defenses have been playing him by sagging off into the paint.

He was confident and I really hope he keeps that going into Wednesday.

Still a little nervous about AD. Sabonis can’t match up defensively and I don’t think Keegan has looked completely healthy yet since coming back form the back injury. Maybe this extra time will help.

Lyles has been playing really well lately. Looks completely different from how he played the rest of the season. Getting hot at the right time and maybe he can help on AD since he has been very physical on defense the last few games. Good to see. He and JV will be key this next game I think.
