Sacramento Kings rookie GM Pete D'Alessandro gave up virtually nothing to acquire highly talented forward Derrick Williams from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kyrie Irving was the consensus top pick (though even he had questions as he battled back from injury). In the days before the draft, it was Derrick Williams who emerged as the consensus second-best player available. Williams was an absolute beast in his two years at Arizona.
