Directv Balcked out tonight???

just dropped at 7:00pm. anyone else having problems? on phone now.... grrrr....

Since I gave up on direct tv I also added comcast to my home and I have both at the moment. Well as most of you know Directv has since added the comcast channel and I have been able to watch all the games I wasn't at on Directv...


Well tonight I was watching the pregame and then at 7:00pm it was restricted?

I'm on the phone with them right now and first they told me that it was blacked out because it was on another channel in my area?? I corrected them on this and then he goes on to tell me that comcast is the one who actually is blacking it out to all Directv customers? and they have that right to blackout directv customers for the games??

I asked him why driectv would pay for a channel to have the kings on it if comcast was going to black it out?? he said he didn't know?

Now I'm on hold for a supervisor to try to explain this???

And I though dish was the only ones with there head up there rear?

Stay tuned........... anyone else having this issue. btw - I'm now watching on comcast channel 34.- so at least I still get it...

Just got off the phone with Direct tV....they are aware of the problem and they are trying to resolve it.

That is the "generic" response for all blackout questions. Usually when the tech has no real idea why things are blacked out.

must be someone punching in the wrong zip codes...

but long story short - he had no answers for the issue??

This sucks. I'm in Santa Cruz, it's halftime and I'm still not getting the game on DirecTV. I talked to customer service and they said they said it has to be a league or network issue and they can do nothing about it. How did the rest of you get your service back? It's so frustrating!

This happened once before and the game magically came on during halftime. I'm hoping for a repeat performance.

So Directv did sign a contract with Comcast? What station number is it?

Same thing happened to us. We called DiercTV and got a nice lady who reported the situation to an "engineer". It came back on as I was considering bolting to a tavern to watch the game. I think it was a simple screw-up. They fixed it for us anyway.
