Did This Happen To Anyone Else?

Okay, as I'm writing this I'm thinking maybe this is the wrong forum for this...not sure, I apologize if it is. Anyway on to my point...nobody think I'm a dork please...I just joined this forum a few weeks ago and before then I only had my hubby (who is only mildly interested in basketball...he's crazy!) to talk to about my Kings...after joining, all of a sudden I have hundreds of new friends to bounce my thoughts off of, and to have interesting, and sometimes heated, discussions about my favorite hobby with. I find myself a little bit addicted..when I have a free moment I always want to turn on the computer and see if anyone put up an intriguing thread..or has a funny story, or I swear sometimes up-to-the-very-second-latest Kings news. Bottom line I want to say THANKYOU to all of those involved in starting this site and to everyone who participates in it today. I really am enjoying being a part of it! GO KINGS!!

You're not alone! I am very addicted to this site! It is a wonderful place to be, and I have learned a lot from the many basketball savvy members here. My husband always laughs because I enjoy it so much, but whenever he hears a rumor about the Kings he will tell me "go check your board" because he knows the news always finds it's way here. Belated welcome to the board & I LOVE your signature!

Thankyou for the warm (belated) welcome!! Hope to have many more opportunities to reply to your posts! My husband laughs at me too....the day Webber got traded I called his work crying and left a message for him with one of his co-workers for him to call me back...he calls back nearly immediately thinking one of the kids has been decapitated or something and when he finds out why I'm upset all he can do is laugh!! What can I say I love my Kings...they're almost like family! BTW thanks for the compliment on my signature...I really worked on putting my personality into it...

This is an awesome place to share thoughts, vent, and learn too.
I'm the die-hard Kings fan of my house, my hubby is mildly interested.
Watching some of these games is much more emotional than any soap could think of being. I laugh, cry, kick and scream each and every game. It's hurts when we lose, but is sure feels good when we win.

Chris Webber my favorite # 4 forever, I miss you everyday!
Doug Christie...my heart is heavy for you and your family. Hang in there,

yup... i most say this is becoming addicting... my girlfriend (who sometimes sneaks a post under my name when i'm not looking) says i'm a dork because i spend so much time on kingsfans.com:p

This is not an unusual phenomina. I have suffered with the affliction for about 2 1/2 years. I have some very very good friends here. Some of them I have met; some I have not met; and some I will probably never meet. Each and every one belongs to a special family that I am fortunate to be a member of (uh,oh...dangling participle). :p

hehe funny topic. I can understand being on an Air Force base and missing your hometown and country. Im glad the people here can be of service to you. I think everyone has the Kings in common here, even though if you actually saw the people here you'd go "whoa!" in terms of age, race, and gender. There is everything from 10 year old kids to grandmas in here, people from different countries that work different jobs. Its always comfortable acting how you do and people feeling comfortable with you, considering the aformentioned. :)

Welcome. I've not been here long either. I've been a Kings fan for a long time, and even though I've been active on the internet, somehow I never bothered with visiting a Kings fanboard until last year. I started off with the espn boards, but there seemed to be no moderation there and things got too messy for my taste.

The thing with internet forums are, a lot of the people you interact with you'd probably never even give the time of day in the real world. Because of our backgrounds, age-differences and all that, most of us would've never got the chance to interact with each other. It's sad but true. I'm always surprised when someone I've interacted with is like 10 years older or younger than me, and lives a life I never could have imagined.

Go Kings!
