"De'Aaron, you seem to really take a leadership role on the defensive end, is that something you talk to the guys about and do you enjoy stepping into that role?

Fox is legit. Like, franchise player legit.

I watched the Cavs feed of the game, all they did was gush about Fox. He's not a household name yet, but he's really starting to get noticed by the NBA.

When his shot is on he's totally unstoppable. I'm sure Fox will have more off games this year, he's still just a scrawny 20 year old, but nights like this are flashes of what he's going to do on the regular, against everybody, in two seasons or so.
 
It feels as if Fox found an alternate universe during the off-season and played 3 seasons over there and then came back here playing like a 4 year vet.

His progress astonishes me. I’m glad he finally got more aggressive he seemed so passive offensively lately.

30-12 on 75% shooting, 80% from three, and one turnover? We aren’t going to lose many games with a stat line like that.

Is he going to make the All Defensive Team this year? I think it would be a crime if he doesn't.
When is he going to make the All Star team?

I've been talking about the Kings' guards getting better at finding the big men running down the floor, and lo and behold Fox had magnificent long bombs to his teamates making for layups at the basket in this game. That's the best long ball passing I've seen him do so far in his young career.

He ain’t making it it takes them a while to get guys off the team that are there based on reputation. Great thing is he’s a 2 way player and that’s what you need for a true franchise player

I think the fact that the Suns have magically avoided being classified as the SUNZ shows the media's natural anti-Sacramento bias.

I think he is better than unstoppable. Lillard and Russ are unstoppable but their teams have never been to a finals because they don’t lead their teams and get other players going. Last year many times Fox would force a mid range jumper while shooters stood wide open on the perimeter.

That kind of play doesn’t happen this year. He finds his open shooters. He has had multiple double double games. His defense is worlds better. If he keeps playing like that it won’t matter how well he shoots this team will keep getting better.

To be fair, he shot .246 from (a shorter) distance in college and .307 as a rookie, so it's not like the pundits weren't on to something. All props to Fox for the work he has put in to become a SIGNIFICANTLY better player this year all around and shooting not the least, but that was in fact a hole in his game.

When you see guys improve at such a rapid rate, and especially the "learn to shoot while in the NBA" type of learning curve that many of the greats travelled (Jordan being the classic example)... it really indicates a level of talent that other players just don't have. Fox is well on his way to molding himself in to a ballplayer that really does not have a weakness. In fact the only weakness I can see this year is some very mild inconsistency.

He could play for stats and highlights, and easily be a 24 ppg, 8 asst guy... but he plays to make his team better. He has the mark of true greatness.

Fox and Buddy have a chance to be the best guard combo, not only in the league, but perhaps a historic top ten.

Total fallacy. He surely could shoot. Anybody that saw him in AAU and HS knows this. He just went through a slump and lost his confidence for a while. The work he put in this offseason earned his confidence back. He didn't even make a major adjustment.

That's probably because those pundits only saw him 1 year in college, where his slump began. It continued his rookie season until he worked real hard to get his confidence back. But his shot hasn't changed much. Minor tweak. Confidence is everything.

We can’t just say he went through a slump that a whole college season. It’s fine he improved and hopefully he can stay somewhere near it
