Was re-watching the Kings-Sixers game from 2009 just to get a second look at Daly vs. Hawes. Seems to me Hawes found Dalembert to be a rather accommodating defender. Hawes' line read 17 pts 11 rebs 9 asst and most of the pts were scored in the post. Daly's 4pts 4 rebs 2 blocks. Hawes was better than Dalembert at just about everything except for jumping and blocking shots, two things we need more than anything else. So there you have it. Hawes the skilled center who can't defend worth a damn against Dalembert the blue-collar guy who can defend a little bit better but sucks at everything else. I see Dalembert as a fort-holder until someone better, maybe Whiteside or JT finally takes that next step, comes along.
