Corliss Williamson: Lesson can be learned from loss to Rockets

For the first three quarters (in a 106-95 loss Thursday to Houston), we played like we had a purpose, like the game really meant something to us. We tried to turn things around (after losing the four previous games), and it was a positive sign that we bounced back from the tough losses earlier in the week.

But we couldn't sustain what we'd done for the first three quarters and find a way to win. And that's what we have to do. Find a way to win a game when our shots don't fall. Can we make stops and take the ball to the basket instead of shooting jump shots? Can we stay together as a team or will we fold?

When you work hard, I think luck and good bounces are a product of that. It just seems like when you work hard, the ball bounces your way more often than not. Now, I don't want to take anything away from our effort against Houston. We just have to keep playing that hard, and things will fall for us. Sometimes, it just takes one win for things to break for a team. Sometimes, it takes more.

But I'll take that one win and see if it works for us.
