Congrats Monarchs - Great Heart, Good Season!!!!

I could not be prouder of this team. The Sacramento Monarchs fought, scratched, clawed, pushed, bit, and every other fighting verb to push this series to overtime in the final game. Only to lose the game at the free throw line. San Antonio did not win this series, the Monarchs ran out of time.

What an awesome 2008, and a very promising 2009.

I mean damn. They nearly stole another one. How the hell this game got to overtime I won't know. This team never gave up, not when they struggled early in the season, not when they kept getting bit by injuries, not when things seemed against them.

I told someone this felt like 1999, 2000 etc all over again, a team learning how to win together, learning what it was going to take to get over the hump again and get out of the first round.

They'll make some roster moves to fix some holes...this is going to be a very good team very soon.

I agree...I'm very proud of this team right now. Helluva game, helluva effort, San Antonio knows they got lucky...twice.

I could not be prouder of our girls. They showed the league that Sacramento has heart. For a team that was not expected to make the playoffs; that had to overcome injuries to key players all year; that everyone expected to be swept by the best team in the league; to come back after losing at home only to annihilate said best team on their home court in game 2; and to come from behind with little time on the clock and force OT in game 3...........
