Jaden Ivey saying that God answered his prayers and declaring himself healthy literal hours before doctors examined his knee and shut him down for the season would be peak basketball twitter if it didn't directly lead to the man having a Kanye style mental breakdown
Counterpoint: Kyrie Irving, when healthy, is a Top 5 point guard in the NBA, and he ain't #5. Jaden Ivey... not so much.I wouldn't write Ivey off for all time over this, but I certainly would have some questions for him before signing him to a new contract. And as a fringe NBA player, that is not a cloud you want over your head if you can avoid it. Kyrie Irving went on some pretty eyebrow raising Twitter rants some years back and sat out for awhile over it but ultimately wasn't black-listed from the sport. Ivey needs to get healthy and prove he still belongs in the NBA first of all. At that point, the other 29 NBA teams will decide if the potential media backlash is worth adding him to their roster or not. History says, if he's any good he'll still be able to find a spot in the league.

SacramentoLet's presume, for the sake of discourse, that LeBron James does not re-sign with the gd lakers. LeBron's team has played in a Christmas Day game every year since 2007... Is there any team that he could sign with that the NBA wouldn't put him on TV on Christmas?
Sacramento
But, once he puts it all together, though, look out!
We really need two more NBA teams. And let’s stay at 82 games.
There have been two days in NBA history, spanning 80 years, where at least nine games were played with an average margin of victory being at least 24 points.
Only two such days. In 80 years.
One was yesterday.
The other was Sunday.
I feel like this post belongs in a game threadOne of the worst things about the internet is the way online communities dedicated to discussing a thing are inundated with people who can't wait to tell you how much they hate that thing.
