If the NBA really is concerned on gambling and the integrity of the game? Tanking absolutely has to be addressed. Should never have been allowed to begin with. Sitting uninjured players, etc., not only reflects bad on the league, it very definitely affects the integrity of the game that suddenly Silver is so concerned with.
If this scandal kills tanking for good, it would have all been worth it.

Yeah, this is going to go about the way I've expected it to go. The league is going to implement whatever meager policy changes it can on its end as they continue to wrestle with tanking and load management, and I'm guessing they'll start to apply pressure on books and on states to restrict the way prop betting functions. Get rid of all the ridiculous props (I mean, you can currently bet on which player will be outed next for illegal gambling), and you start to curb the problem because there's just less to police. There's a lot of places to kind of hide in plain sight right now with these enormous prop menus.

I feel like I've missed something in the coverage I've read. What are the links between the Rozier case and the Billups case been established? Could someone explain it to me?
This isn't a rhetorical question, I really assume I've missed something in the news coverage. My understanding so far is that they're both linked to the mafia, but is there something else or are there specific people linking both cases?

Both are separate federal indictments related to illegal gambling on NBA games and rigged poker games that had mafia ties.

This article doesn't seem to show how the investigations overlap, which was the intent of my question.
I don't need a specific cited source, I was inviting anybody who's got a strong take on the news to make the connection. If they're only currently connected through the mafia, then fair enough.
