I really think domestic violence is horrible. I've done the "walk a mile in her shoes" fundraiser a couple times. I care.
But I don't see why this should completely de-rail a person's career whether it is an NBA player making millions or a guy on a assembly line or a cop or a librarian.
Unless the NBA suspends him for 20 games or something, I don't see why this should impact the roster or the rotation that much. If it happens again maybe. If the legal system locks him up and he can't play, ok.
Maybe you've got a guy with anger management issues - and so you take away his livelihood... how does that make anything better?
League appropriate suspension, mandatory anger counseling, community service, and hopefully a better future for Darren and those close to him.
