The Pistons have sent Elden Campbell and a future No. 1 pick to the Jazz for point guard Carlos Arroyo, a league source told ESPN Insider Chad Ford.

According to the source, the terms of the deal have been worked out and the teams are currently on a trade call with the league to make it official.

The trade should be an important one for the Pistons. They have been thin at the point guard position since letting Mike James leave in free agency this summer. The team's other two point guards, Chauncey Billups and Lindsey Hunter, are really combo guards. Adding Arroyo to the mix gives the Pistons depth and a true point guard who should help the team.
Sorry, L.A. fans, guess this one didn't work out for you guys either.

Well that's too bad. Too bad because I have been harping since preseason about how utterly pathetic Detroit's bench was -- basically one injury prone PF -- and now they get reinforcements.

Mentioned this before -- the fewer true elite teams the better for us. Would much rather have seen him land in LaLa land because it wouldn't have mattered for us. But if Detroit gets a boost and a return to elite status, that's just one more team we have to deal with on a potential championship run.

Well, lookee there, he went East. Who would have thunk it?;) Guess those Jazz didn't want to help the lakes out after all.
It would have been tough to match that offer at this point. The Lakers don't want to get rid of whatever future first round pick they may have considering they won't have a very good regular season record for the next 2 years, at least.

Odd move. Arroyo wants more minutes so they send him to the Pistons? He'll probably ask for a trade from the Pistons too, unless they give him 20 mpg (but of course, whose minutes would he cut into, Hamilton and Billups?).

Look for posts "Jazz stole Arroyo from Lakers"
And yes Laker fans I did tell you so.
No you didn't, you tried to comment on the CBA but misspelled it.
