seriously just call him CLUTCH... **** the mr. he is CLUTCH!

Tyreke "CLUTCH" Evans!!!

or simply...

CLUTCH!!!

Did Jerry West get that nickname when he fraudulently assembled the Gasol trade? Clutch ;)

Jerry West, always a Laker! And that trade still ticks me off too!

Back to the thread, yes Tyreke is clutch. Its so easy to take the driving and scoring he does for granted as it appears he does it so effortlessly.

Tyreke, Beno, Landry and Hawes appear to have a good chemistry. Just add Casspi, Greene or Udoka depending on the defensive matchup and thats a nice finishing 5.

Tyreke is a clutch player. He certainly is clutch in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. But in order to be "CLUTCH" you have to hit your free throws down the stretch to ice the game. He is still working on that. But at 20 YEARS OLD, he has the attention of every team in the league. Their defense every night is geared to stop Mr Evans. It has slowed him down on occasion, but he hasn't been stopped by any one player or any one TEAM for that matter. He is still sinking game winners with the defense of the opposition hanging all over him trying to deny and stop him. He certainly has a knack of making shots when they are most needed at the end of games to seal the deal.

Now Damnit, if he can just tighten up those free throws! That is going to bite the Kings in the azz one of these times if he can't hit them when they matter the MOST! A truly "CLUTCH" player hits his free throws down the stretch AND makes shots to ice the game. But at 20 YEARS OLD, he is close... VERY close. And he is hands down the ROOKIE of the YEAR. No one else is carrying their team the way Tyreke is. If the Kings get 10 more wins, I think the ROY goes to him for sure. I think he has already won the award, unless there is an injury or some other unforeseen incident to change the status quo. With Tyreke, the Kings are now better than the W's or the Clips. He is a one man rally in the 4th. With the game on the line, who else on the Kings do you want with the ball. Take that a bit further. Of all the ROY Candidates, who would you want with the ball, and the game on the line with 10 seconds left on the clock. THAT is why he will win the ROY. Even Curry is not as consistent a "CLOSER" as Tyreke and defers to Monta or Maggette.

Tyreke is "THE MAN" for the Kings at the end of games. AND despite everyone in the arena, the other teams coaching staff, and all the players on the other team KNOWING that Tyreke is going to take that shot, HE STILL MAKES THAT SHOT. Therefore he MUST be the ROY. :D I am SOOO glad he is on our team. I KNOW he is pissing off a lot of other team's fans who are asking themselves "Who the Hell IS this KID!" Well, I'll tell you who he is. He is Tyreke "REKE HAVOC" Evans, Rookie of the Year 2010! That is who he is!

lol. come on man I love Reke too but he is NOT already better than Brandon Roy

Roy this year: 22.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 4.9 APG, 1 SPG, .2 BPG, 37.5 MPG

Reke: 20.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 5.4 APG, 1.5 SPG, .5 BPG, 37.1 MPG

Pretty damn close statistically. I think that if I had to chose one of those guys for my team, it'd be Reke hands down.

I know Reke averages more rebounds than that.

Once again, I love Reke but Brandon Roy is still better at this point. Does he have the potential to be better? Sure.

When Tyreke has a more consistent jumper then I'll agree w you

But Reke gets inside easier than Roy. Whereas Roy scores 22 points per game with a jumpshot and driving ability, Reke gets his points by simply abusing the other team. In terms of defense, I think I'd rather have Reke than Roy. With the game on the line, I think I'd rather give the ball to Reke than to Roy. God, it feels so good to be saying that about one of our guys

Like I said Reke def has potential to be better than Roy, but at this point Brandon Roy is a more polished (aka better) all around player. That's not even close to an insult towards Tyreke. He hasnt even played a full season yet and he's already near the level of some big time all star calliber players.

We're all Kings fans here and we all love Reke, but ask most neutral fans who is better right now and I'd bet most would say Roy.

Tyreke Evans is better than Brandon Roy right now. Anyone who would disagree has not watched Evans play complete games. There is no way Roy would have done what Reke has done for our team this year. I mean, the clutch shots, the clutch defensive plays... over, and over, and over....

Most neutral fans go by stat lines of other teams, or at the most, highlight reels. You gotta watch the whole game.
