Can Schroder.Ellis.Clifford.Murray protect Domas?

I understand that Ja might be available. I still believe in Keon Ellis as an elite 3&D SG role player. I think Clifford is a great passer that Sabonis would appreciate. I think Keegan will take another step forward once Demar is out of the way.

I'm ok with going after Ja, if we can keep Keon, Nique, Keegan, Domas. Because adding Ja to LaVine and DeMar would bring detrimental to the future of this organization. Scott Perry has an opportunity in front of him. Pelicans are desperate and Perry has a prior relationship with the Pelicans GM. Mavs, Magic both have needs for guards and both have extra forwards. Remember, DeMar's contract is only 25M this season and you can buy him out for 10M next season. And LaVines 49M would be a MASSIVE expiring contract for someone attempting to free up their books or duck the tax while bringing on extra player for a playoff push.

Monte couldn't pull the trigger on trades, I'm hoping Scott Perry understands that this doesn't have to be a long rebuilt, there is a pathway back to a top 6th seed in the west. Especially with how the Clippers, Grizz, Mavs all seem to be struggling out the gate. Pistons might be interested in getting Dennis Schroder back. We might be able to steal a forward, PG or move LaVine or Demar without having to give up any assets.

Protect Domas on the defensive end? Not a chance. Schroder and Ellis are good at being pests but they are revolving doors on the perimeter. Nique is a little more like Keegan where he's not particularly fleet of foot laterally but he still manages to make it work. We would need prime Jrue and Tony Allen at the guard positions to protect Domas defensively.
