Can Phoenix surpass 70 wins?!?

Their starters are playing TONS of minutes and there is no rest in sight. If I was a gambling man, I'd put money down on them eventually wearing down, going into a slump and having a month with 4 or 5 losses. In the second half, people are going to start playing them differently, going at them harder and preparing better. It'll be hard just to get up to 65 by seasons end. I'm going to go ahead and say that I think March will be their month to hit a bump in the road.

You can also bring up the fact that they are probably less deep on the bench then even us. If Nash goes down you are looking at Barbosa as your starting point guard. Also, behind Stoudamire they have absolutely nothing(Outlaw, Voskul and Steven Hunter). If they can go injury free they will continue to have a great year but every team goes through stretches of injuries and Phoenix can least afford one.

39 wins to go.....and still counting...

Have you seen any Suns game? I think their bench have very good players...

Steven Hunter plays like Amarè, a low post threat and a good defender. Still very young!

Jacobson is also a good shooter of the bench. He is like Korver, and also resembles like Manu Ginobili the way he drives the basket. He is a good player!

Lampe is still improving, but he's not that bad. He can rebound! Very young also!

Barbosa I think his playing time is reduced, but still he's a good backup for Nash! But Coach Mike usually plays Joe in the point when he rest Nash... Still young again.

I think their bench is not that bad at all, comparing to the Kings! And they are very young. They average like 24-25 yrs old, very young and still capable to be the best team in the NBA. I have high expectations for this team, and now 39 wins more and still counting....:)

The answer to this question is probably not, as evidenced by a probable loss to the Jazz on Wednesday evening (Jazz beat Spurs and Suns in back-to-back games -- impressive).

Something that would be interesting to examine is how often the Suns win when Nash is the team's first or second leading scorer for the game. He might not finish as such tonight, but he has 20 points, and my recollection is that when he has to score more than in the teens, it means the rest of the Suns aren't really hitting, and the Suns are struggling.

Utah wins 115-108. Player of the game: Okur with 21 pts (8-16) and 17 rebounds, in 26 minutes. That is sick. With Kirilenko due to return soon, they're bound to get better. Beating SA and Phoenix is very impressive.

Looking at the boxscore, most phoenix players are shooting okay, but as usual, Quentin Richardson screws things up by going 6-for-17. Pathetic.

The guy is taking just too many shots, and taking too many threes as well.

FG% (.381), 3PT FG% (.358)
#1 in 3PT FG attempts.

In a way, I think Phoenix could be even better if they had someone a little bit more efficient..

I can't believe the phoenix lost.. I didn't saw the game, are they tired? or just one of those nights?

They were tired. It was a back to back game.............................Utah got some confidence from beating the Spurs.

Man... and people talk trash about our bench. Phoenix outscored 67-6 by Utah on bench points, ouch. So Right before we play Utah they get back to back wins over the Spurs and Phoenix, should be an interesting game tommorow...

if this thread is going to hang around for a little while longer, can one of the moderators, please, please, please, correct the title? eyesore!

Wow...the Suns have now lost 3 in a row!! They just lost tonight with the Wizards 108-103! NO STEVE NASH! ;)

yep... and the kings next 2 games are against the clippers.... lets win some games...

The Suns are clearly a ship without a rudder without Nash. I hope for the sake of highlights and Amare's career that Nash isn't out for too long, but these recent losses do afford the Kings a chance to make up some ground.

Gilbert Arenas looks very excited about the win..he even took his shirt off:
Somebody doesn't have League Pass...

Gilbert Arenas takes his jersey off after every single home game, and throws it into the crowd. It wasn't because he was "very excited" about the win; it's just something he does...

I watch a ton of league pass and I've seen the Wizards a lot this year, and I didn't catch the shirt thing until last week. Cut him some slack. :)

I don't have LP so I don't get to see every game in the NBA.

Wish I can though.

w/o nash, theyre nothin. lost again. this time, by 14 to the pistons. barely reached 80 points. they wont have the stamina to get anywhere near 65 wins if their bench doesnt perform.
