There's nothing to keep him coming here, loopy. His heart is in Detroit; his team is in Philadelphia. He grew to love Sacramento because of the Kings, the fans, etc. but there's no reason to think he'd want to live here.

He said more than once he hoped he had earned the right to retire as a King. That was taken away - and I can fully understand him not wanting to retain a lot of ties here. He can afford to buy and renovate another home, much closer to his family and friends - and I'm sure he will.

I know VF, but he put a lot of time and effort into that house and if it was me I couldn't sell it, regardless of how much money I had. You could tell he put his heart into that house and it's just sad that's all. I guess it's the last chapter of the book. As long as he still had his house, there was always that hope, for me anyway that he'd be back ( I know the house has nothing to do it) but now all ties are gone. It's got to be hard for him to let go.

loopy - I think he sold the home because it really hurt him to be traded away from a place that have come to mean so much. Every time he came back he would have been reminded of it. I think, in this case, he sold the house because keeping it would have actually been more painful.

doesn't chris own two homes in sac? He's only selling one(from what i've inferred), so keep hope alive.LOL

Yes but the 'other one" is used for his charity foundation. Who knows what he'll be doing with that.

I thought he gave the second one to his charity, that's why I didn't mention it. he needs to come back for that at least.
