[News] Buss family selling the Lakers!

The Hoop Collective Pod said the Buss family had all their money tied up in the Lakers, not just a part of their business portfolio like many of the other owners in the league. They have been operating like a “Mom and Pop” business making most of their money off their local tv deal. At one point they made more money off that deal in one week than the Grizzlies did in an entire season. The new owner already owned over 20 percent of the Lakers so the Buss family is selling a bit over 60 percent of their ownership. Now the Lakers have some of the deeper pockets in the Nba. Sam Presti, would you like 100 mil?

I think Presti's methodology is better served in a small market with kind of a cheapskate owner because they didn't throw away future capital trying to drag any combo of Harden/KD/Russ/George across the finish and let them go ahead of schedule. Only KD walked for nothing. They got multiple firsts for all the others. Meanwhile the Lakers have generational talents fall into their laps and only one Mickey Mouse Coronaleague championship to show for it. They signed Bronny to a guaranteed deal. I think they only completely control one of their next 7 first round picks because somehow that idiot in Dallas gave them Luka for below market. It will likely take them 5-6 years to dig out of the mess they are in if LeBron retires a Laker and Luka re-signs for the max.

No disrespect to you or the Hoop Collective, but I thought that had been public knowledge for decades?
