Bruce Bochey in as Giants manager...

I wanted a young upstart manager for our new young upstart team.

I now fully expect Sabean's big move of the year will be aquiring Gary Sheffield and some 35 year old pitcher for some more youngsters, because...

"With a manager of Bochy's stature, we are in a win-now situation, and winning comes with seasoned vetran's."

Im not happy.

Im ready for the youth movement.

I don't see a need for a young manager for the team. Its not a sport that needs a fundamental rethinking or that reinvents itself every decade at an onfield level. If they were looking for a new GM I might agree but if you look at the managers having success in baseball they have been around the block a few times. Besides at 51 he's not exactly "old" either. He overachieved frequently in San Diego with cheapo squads, firesales and constant rebuilding and as far as I know has always been well liked by players and fans. I don't get what's not to like?
