i heard the miami heat will be helping with the kids feeding costs

The Miami Heat having to foot the bill for Shaquille O'Neal and Latrell's kids? Whoa... Hope they're buying up all those MREs on eBAY.

What do I think of it?

You asked...

Ridiculous.
Absurd.
Ludicrous.
Silly.
Not gonna happen.

If you sit Peja down, he won't pull his head out. He'll curl up in the fetal position and never be seen or heard from again.

The only way for him to get his shot back is to shoot.

This whole idea of benching players for poor performance is something we argue about every year. Peja is putting for effort; his shots just aren't falling. You don't penalize a shooter for that.

I took what you said to heart, and upgraded his softness. He should be given more credit, he has a beautiful three point shot. Peja has been upgraded to the "triple" roll softie.

Ah, oh well, that doesn't change anything for me.

If we're going to have shiny new silk jammies we may as well have a new nickname, The Sacramento Charmins.

as for the original post, I was more for bringing Reef off the bench and playing him starter minutes. He'll score no matter what.

And when he gets his shot back and strats averaging 20-25pts a game then what??
then he's back in the starting rotation.

Actually, it is not really that crazy of an idea. If KT's outside shooting touch was a little better, then Kings might be even better with him in the starting lineup than with Peja. Peja is an one-dimensional player. KT on the other hand can rebound very well besides scoring. With Peja being Geoff Petrie's pet, Peja will not be benched in favor of KT. However, next year might be a different story. As for now, I would like to see SAR and KT (coming off the bench as a small forward) play some extensive minutes together to see what this combo can do.

What does everyone think of bringing Peja off the bench and starting Thomas and Reef and the 3 and 4 spots. Rebounding would definitely be up, and Thomas seems to play better as a starter. This wouldn't have to be permanent, just until Peja pulls his head out of his ***.
Well if you really wnat our opinions... sounds like one of those ideas that one only hears comming from the guy on the bar stoool next to you 12 beers after a bad game. No coach or GM would think it and if by some stroke of incredibly poor judgment some one actually tired it they would single handedly destroy team chemestry and create the worst soap opera in the NBA since the 03-04 Lakers. Not that Kenny CANT play the 3 but he sees him self as a PF. with reef and Kenny on the floor you have no outside shooting to spread the floor creating a log jam under the hoop. Meanwhile on the bench you now a disgruntled Pedja who knows you have no faith in him. The other starters loose confidence and trust as well...

Speaking of Shaq and foot, he sprained his ankle pretty bad tonight in the Pacers game. He'll be out for a while.

Shaq's listed at day-to-day. He'll be okay. But I agree, it looked a lot worse.

regardless to this suggestion (benching peja) I don't like KT offensive game....he is always late with pass (overall poor passing skills) and often he believes he is the option #1...takes too many shots....

I am not Peja fan, but placing him on the bench is not a smart move.

It would make more sense to put Miller on the bench for Skinner, to shore up our defense. But, Peja ... nah.

Besides, I don't think he'll be wearing Kings colors after the all-star break. He isn't a max player and the Kings know this. So, they'll move him for what they can.
