Brendan Haywood

I was expecting the Wizards to be a playoff team this season but it seems the cylinders were not clicking. Maybe they will start to open up for some trades to freshen up. Here's my take:

Nocioni for Haywood straight up!

Why the Wizard would do it?
Wizards are still packed up front with McGee, Blatche, Oberto, Jamison, and Davis. But they don't have enough good wing defenders which is why they seem unable to stop any team. Nocioni will be a good complement to this team adding defense and rangy offense.

Why the Kings would do it?
We need another big desperately. He's not too old and should be able to beef up our frontline this season. Nocioni, though I like him, falls in our most deep position at SF. With Udoka, Casspi, and Greene, I believe we will still have enough tenacity to cope with his departure. On the other hand, Haywood is an ender at 6M. This will improve our flexibility to upgrade the team come season end.

I will take Blatche or Mcgee or Haywood. All 3 are solid bigs and could be used well in combo with JT and Hawes.

Haywood is old is a problem for us... I'm more interested in JaVale McGee, young and seems promising defensively...

Haywood is just 30 I believe, which isn't really a bad thing if you just need him for 1 season.

If he works, he might helps us get to the playoff which would be a good sugar coating to entice some stud FA to come and join this up and coming team.

If not we'll he's an expiring of 6M. This will add more salary space for us to probably sign a better quality big like Bosh, once we unload about 23M (Haywood(6M) KT(8.5M) SAR(6.6M) Moore(2M) ) after summer.

Take away Nocioni on this team and you end-up with a big potential for this team to revert back to it's old sissy way of playing. Especially true when there is this possibility that Martin, Hawes, and occasionally Beno ( all softie players ) will be your players getting most of the playing time. The risk is just too high.

I wouldn't mind exchanging Nocioni though, if what we're getting is a tougher defensive minded center ( who can steal most of Hawes' minutes at the #5. )

I recommend reviewing that tape of that game that Nocioni didn't play. ;)
