I hate to be the spoiler but there is no trade that can get us Noah without us giving up a future lottery pick or one of our young bigs. Miller + scrub is not going to get it done, even if we take on Noc's contract. I know the Bulls made dumb trades, but giving up Noah for Brad Miller would be a whole new level of dumbness for them.
As another poster already mentioned, this is Chicago's way to make a run at Wade; and Noc's contract is in the way. If they lose Gordon, it opens up cap space and make trading Noc less of a priority.
They will absolutely hold on to Noah and Tyrus Thomas as pieces for a sign and trade for Wade (or another big star). So in 2010, they have cap room, and if necessary, put forth a package of Hinrich and either Noah or Thomas.
In the meantime, they have to start winning to show peole that Chi-town is to be taken seriously. Miller will certainly fill a hole. So it's a win-win if they can trade Noc for Miller.
But it's a lose-lose for us. We trade away our starting center for a bench player with a longer contract? No Noah and maybe a #1 pick thrown in? The #1 is nice but is it worth taking on Noc? I don't think so. It's likely that with Miller and Rose in Chi-town, that pick is a late 1st. The type of pick that you can buy for much less than what you pay for Noc.
