Thomas Robinson was selected with fifth overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Sacramento Kings, yet he’s playing for his third NBA team entering just his second NBA season. Why is that, you may ask? The latest report out of Portland may shed some light on his situation. From Wendy Owen of The Oregonian:…

...Speeding isn’t a federal crime, obviously, but driving over 100 miles per hour on a public highway is reckless any way you slice it. It would be easy to say that the Blazers should surround Robinson with people who can help steer him in the right direction moving forward, but at some point the 22-year old needs to begin to make the correct decisions himself.

I know driving 107 mph is dumb, but the writer of this article is making it sound like TRob has a string of dumb decisions like this following him around. If I had a 2013 white Porche Panamera I might well have exceeded the triple digits on the speedometer myself. I had a 68 Camaro SS that was able to do that with no difficulty. ;)

Am I saying it's okay to speed? Nope, but I am saying it not like everybody with any kind of muscle car doesn't want to "see what it will do" at least once. Specs on the care are: 520 hp @ 6,000 rpm; 0-60 mph: 3.9 s; Top Track Speed: 189 mph; Consumption (Highway): 24 mpg MSRP $ 141,300.00

Then again, here's what TRob tweeted about it:

Apologies for that speeding ticket rip city gotta be more careful with watching the speed limit my first and last one tho for sure

Really? "More careful"? Like he was accidentally going 107 in a 55. Man up and apologize without trying to make yourself look innocent.

This is quite the silly spin to put on this. Not the incident itself, but trying to cast the significance of this incident in exactly 180 degrees from the truth. No, Thomas Robinson has NOT been an off the court problem. Yes, Thomas Robinson has been traded twice already because of his ON court limitations. No, you the writer don't have a ****ing clue what you are talking about.
