What a very sad day. I will miss you!

You have brought much joy to many 49er fans over the years.

:(

Almost all my fond memories of the 49ers - and there are a lot of them - have him in them somewhere.

My thoughts and prayers to his friends and family. He will be missed - and remembered.

RIP Coach Walsh.

Wow... I am so sad to hear this. :(

Bill Walsh was an amazing man, and truely made 49er football what it was during those magical years in the 80s. I'm a 49er fan, and like VF21, I have Bill Walsh in many of my favorite memories. Heck, I probably have Bill Walsh to THANK for many of my favorite memories!

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Thanks for changing a great game for the better, coach.

RIP Coach Walsh; condolences to family and friends.

Thanks Bill Walsh for making NFL football as fun to watch as the best of Kings basketball in the last decade.

I went into the locker room recently and this is the EXACT spot Bill Walsh would stand while making his pre-game speech..

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Walsh family, friends and the 49ers fans.
