Bigdog's NFL Fantasy Football League

Since Bigdog is very busy with life, family, etc. I went ahead and started the league for him this year. We will have a live draft on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 10:30 am PDT.

I've sent PMs out to those who participated last year and they, as seems fair, are being given first chance to sign up or decline.

If we do not get a full roster of returning teams, there may be some openings.

This is an active, fun league so if you're thinking about signing up for the "reserve" list, don't bother if you're just going to sign up and then not really participate.

Oh I guess not. I think I signed up and then asked out before the draft. (was moving and wasn't sure if I could handle multiple leagues or something)

After the first draft, how active is the league? Are there trades going on every week, day, month? or is it not that active. If its not too active, I'd like to put my name in if there is room. Thanks.

e'tinas - This is an ongoing league that is very active. So be totally honest, first preference will go to people who have been members of the board for a while because we know them better and know they'll continue to stay active.

There should be additional leagues forming, so you'll probably be able to join one of them.

League settings for playoffs

It was recently brought to my attention that our current settings provide for EIGHT teams to go to the playoffs. I was surprised, because I thought it was generally only six. The eight was apparently the setting used last year, however, and I simply copied them as bigdog had set them.

I've posted a question at the league webpage on Yahoo. If you're a member of this league, please let me know if you would like to keep the setting at eight, reduce it to six or if you have no preference one way or the other.

I'll need your input by Aug. 24 so I can make any changes before draft day.

Our draft went well, and it looks as though we should have some interesting activity. Londonking has already offered to trade Shaun Alexander to me for the New England defense. I don't know, though. I like Patriots.
