We had 15 nominations for the position of power forward on the all-NBA team. The selection committee has come up with their top 10 from those nominated. The top 10 vote getters are shown below.

Now it's time for you to vote for your TOP FOUR FINALISTS. Please do not vote for more than four names. The top four will go on to the next round, which will involve mixing them with the top four of the other categories to get the four best possible NBA teams.

I just had to give some love to Dennis Rodman. Looking back and seeing the types of numbers he put up for rebounding still amazes and astounds... Will he be in the final four? Probably not, but he's getting a "favorite" vote from this NBA fan.
 
There was a lot of cross-over nominating by people in the original threads. And some people nominated players that really didn't belong on any list to begin with. ;) That's why I selected a "nominating committee" of 5 people to narrow down the lists to 10 players in each category...

Moses Malone is on the list of names for consideration at center.
 
He was nominated. What can I say? I did not want to be judge, jury and executioner on this stuff which is why I opted for a committe to weed down the choices...

I guess it's a lot like the yearly All-Star nominations.

Here we go again.....Elvin Hayes has two votes. He may be the best player on the list. Could ya'll show the all-time greats some love?

I think the problem with some of the older players on the list, is there are several(I think) of the posters here(including myself) that never saw them play or maybe even hadn't heard of them. So our frame of references are different.
 
^^^ They probably did not see Babe Ruth play either. Seriously, Hayes is dead last with two votes and that is glaring ignorance.
 
I don't mind if people are ignorant about b-ball history. However, should people really even vote if they have never heard Hayes?
 
People may well have heard of him but simply do not know enough about him OR just don't think quite as much of him as you do, kupman...

This is all in fun. And let's leave the "ignorant" comments out of it, okay?

Instead of using the "i" word, how about a list of Hayes notable stats.

Some of his highlights:

- During his rookie year, he scored a career-high 54 points against the Detroit Pistons.

- As a rookie, Hayes led the NBA in scoring with 28.4 points per game, averaged 17.1 rebounds per game

- NBA title in 1978

- Hayes had 27,313 points (eighth all-time)

- 16,279 rebounds (sixth all-time)

- twelve straight NBA All-Star Games from 1969 to 1980

- Hayes led the NBA in rebounding in 1970 (16.9 rpg) and 1974 (18.1 rpg).

*clearly, one of the best PFs ever.
