Peja Stojakovic had done his share of talking, 90-minutes plus with countless reporters after a five-month hiatus from the daily chaos at the Arco Arena practice facility.

"What's my job?" Stojakovic jokingly asked.

"To answer questions," a reporter responded.

The Kings' job descriptions changed for a few hours Monday, as the team held its annual media day that serves as the unofficial season tipoff party. The real work starts tomorrow, when training camp begins for the team that may be the biggest mystery in the NBA. They added forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim and shooting guard Bonzi Wells, lost super-reserve Bobby Jackson and short-term shooter Cuttino Mobley, and plugged the gaps with reserves who are at once promising and unproven.

If that first day is any indicator, there is much work to be done, with only four players (Mike Bibby, Stojakovic, Brad Miller and Kevin Martin) who were at last year's camp. The Kings will hold two practices on the first day, a virtual crash course for parts new and old. If new forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim is any sort of team spokesman, the transition is a workable one. "Most of these guys that are here are unselfish, so I think that'll make it easier," said Abdur-Rahim, who came to the Kings as a free agent from Portland in August. "I don't think it will be hard. It's all expectations and all of that other stuff right now. None of it really matters until we throw the ball up for that first regular season game. I think we'll see then."

anyone see how the Kings misspelled Ricky Paulding's name on his jersey? it read "Pauding"

Well, we could use a third, young SF. So who knows. He's improved himself overall as well.

I think it's just because he was with us last year though.

lol @ corliss lookin all GQ with his pic.... cant knock his hustle though....

That's a nice size scar on Brad's right leg. I still remember how he went down, but still came back out of lockeroom after the break to take his free throws.

Go Kings!!

yes that tat on bibby's hand is new and Brad looks the same but Kevin does look a little bigger and i also was shocked at how in shape Bonzi looks. Shareef is Bigger than i thought as well.

Um...not that I expected Karl Malone or anything, but wasn't Brad susposed to be hitting the weights in a barn somewhere in Indiana or something? If I copy pasted Vlade's head onto that body I doubt many people would think twice about it.

Did bibby get a new tatto on his hand?

He had the tattoo towards the end of the season. The other hand has Loyalty. I'm not sure if it's like his team dime tattoo, but his brother has the same Loyalty tattoo on his right hand. Walked up on him on my way to the concession stand at halftime of the Monarch's Sunday playoff game. Couldn't help but notice the tattoo since it was on the same hand holding his cel phone. I'm assuming it was his brother cause he looked just like Bibby ( which made me do a double take) and was sitting on the other side of Bobby at the game. Was lucky enough to see Bibby walk out of Arco in the team parking lot with his son and brother. They were parked at the practice facility.

Oh my god. I sound like a stalker, but I'm not....really!!!;) Just lucky!! :p

And, coincidentally or not, the tattoo on Chris Webber's arm that is so difficult to see in most pictures says "Faith."

...

Just saw Bibby on channel 40 news. He looks good!!:D He was blinding me with those diamonds I call boulders on his ears. Just one of those would send both my kids to college.

They said he was one of the best clutch shooters on Kings & showed the clip from game 5 against Lakers where he took the shot towards end of game. Interviewer asked him about his statement at the end of the season where he wants to be leader and Adelman was quoted as saying that Bibby needed to walk the walk and play harder defense. Bibby said nobody can guard one on one in the NBA. He talked about how he was going to be more vocal with the team and speaking up during practices if he sees someone doing something they should or should not be doing.

is bibby growing his hair out like his college days?

It looks like it!!! I just saw a promo for the 11:00 news on channel 10 and they used the new kings logo to promote the media day event that they'll be showing in a few minutes. Blaahhhhhhhh. It's not as good as the old one. Does that make me an old dog?

The new logo? Oh God ... please. Tell me it's not that lame looking pawn-like thing.

The gold w/the number six from Kings.com website. BTW, they just showed a little blip of Bibby holding a sign that said Miller shoots like my little sister. They looked like they were having fun. Miller looks good.

Corliss said there's different chemistry that they can put together and he thinks they'll do good. They all seem to have a positive attitude about their abilities and it's a matter of seeing how the chemistry is when they all play together. KT & Skinner seemed optimistic too!!

Aaaaahhhhhhhh, I'm so excited!!! They all look good and seem ready to play!!!
Whhoooppppeeee!
