We were privy to a sneak peek at one team's new jerseys during the shoot, but like any good secret, we can't tell. The team's rookie -- or was it rookies? -- donned a shirt over the jersey when not in front of one of the backdrops, limiting the exposure of the new uniform until an official unveiling is held. All we can tell you is the new gear was pretty sharp.

As an aside, the NBA obviously has to sign off ov everything that the teams do with respect to colors, logos, uniforms, etc. About 10 years or so ago the Nets wanted to change their name and the name they came up with was summarily shot down by the league. The proposed name was....are you ready for this: Swamp Dragons.

i can deffinitley beleive that b/c their is an arena football team called the dragons and they used to be called the ny/nj dragons but are not just ny. They are advertised in the Continental airlines arena still though.

I don't see the harm in having alternate jersey even if you did just get new jersey's...actually you could add Orlando to that list their uni's are new but they're still getting some alternates...quite honestly I think every team should have alternate uni's...just for variety...plus you know they'll probably mix the throwbacks in again (more than they should though)

I'm guessing from this that there's no word on what our new jerseys are supposed to look like. With all these new players, it would be good move to change the jerseys, plus NBA does love profit.

Well we can try to figure out the possible colors for the Kings new alternate jersey through the process if elimination. Assuming that they wont use the retro colors, we will combine both new and old colors.

Kings Colors, Retro and New: Baby or Powder Blue, Royal Blue, Red, White, Purple, Silver, & Black.

Therefore, it leaves us with: Navy Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Gold, & Turquoise. Bleh.

I kinda like the sound of Brown jerseys. -sigh- I can't wait till we see the new alternate uni's.
