Artest

Artest showed hustle and a genuine attitude to win, something the Kings were sorely lacking, personally, he can kick anyones *** on the kings team if it means winning more games than we are now. In fact, i look forward to it.

Is it just me or did anyone notice how the Celtics made runs when Artest leaves the game?

I'm not sure about the statistics but I'm pretty sure the Celtics had a 10-0 run the first time he left. And then another time, they had a 7-0 run or something.

5 games in 7 nights on some heavy minutes and a tired legs of a guy that hasn't played in well over a month tends to leave you looking like we did tonight. I wonder how bad it would have been had Artest not been there creating or getting at least 8 turnovers. A little rest, a little time, and everybody healthy and we will make a legitimate run at the playoffs.

I love THIS team
thank you GP

You certainly can't fault his performance tonight. I think I liked a couple of things best: first, the way he was pointing out the open man to KT, although it didn't work out; second, the way he called the team together and had a bit of a team huddle on the court; third, the way he was seriously talking to Cisco as they came out of a commercial break.

What I liked the best, however, was the look on Paul Pierce's face whenever he looked up and saw Ron's face, which he did all night.

;)

true you can see a certain fear ppl had when they see Ron in there face it causes turnovers much like a great shotblocker alters your shot because of his presence

I have wanted Artest for 2 years its no secret. I don't need to say i told you so but, i do want to make 1 request. Please Please do not make an attempt to nickname Ron. Lets just simply leave it at Ron. Ron-Ron is ok but thats the limit.

Ron played and acted like a leader. He looked pretty bummed when the game was over though. I'm going to love seeing his play, once he gets into shape we can still turn it around, we will be that team nobody wants to play in the playoffs. One more trade though, for a shotblocker/athletic/rebounding PF. I like how when he plays, the team plays good D, it's like he was showing them how but then when he went out we just couldn't play D and nobody else could really hit a shot all night long. If we got more rebounds we would've won though, that's where getting Bonzi back comes into play. Man I'd love to get Kenyon Martin, imagine: Bibby/Bonzi/Ron/Kenyon/Brad. That lineup is nasty.

artest has always tried to take the young guys under his wing.....he really did so with granger this past offseason...and its also why he enjoyed the summer league....ron never has problems with the younger players...

i believe ron still leads the pacers plus minus stats ...

remember this about rons defense, and i think ive mentioned it before....hes the only player in the league that the opposing player fears....never underestimate how significant that can be....if u step on the court and are basically scared of the guy guarding u, ur pretty much doomed...

I can't wait till Ron gets back into game shape. His defense, hustle, and leadership is a joy to watch and it's something I was hoping for this team for a long time. There's no doubt, once we get everyone back and healthy we are gonna win alot of games and get back into the playoffs. I can't wait!!

Yeah that pass to Bibby from half court brought back memories of some of Doug Christies passes ( whom i wish would step in as an assistant coach )

If our guys play with half the intensity Ron does we will be alright. But I was disgusted how the other guys on our team played tonight. I hope they were just tired.

It was entirely strange to see a King player so physically dominant. The baggage factor must be gigantic, because the gap between Artest and Stojakovic is monumental. No contest.

I can't wait to see how Artest plays once we teach him our offence... The man can pass, shoot defend, I love Peja to death but I am glad this trade happend.

Artest is so pesky on defence I love it, hes always reaching for the ball and gets it most of the time, This guy is gonna do wonders for us.
hes leading the league in steals per game - 3 per game...

If Ron can stay sane...this trade is going to do WONDERS for this team..the intensity i saw...i was amazed...i havent seen that kind of intensity on defense since...well i cant really compare it..

PLEASE GOD LET RON STAY SANE...

yeah, that is correct...I dont think we'll see the what this new core can really do until Bonzi gets back, hopefully in the next week or two...then IT'S ON!!;) Bash Brothers in full effect!

Ron's got great hands and yes he does always reach for the balls. Wait for about 15 - 20 games and his fingers will be all taped up from him reaching, and then his shooting suffers a little. His hands are quick, strong and huge. His fingers are so long

Rick better get him in post up situations, that is where he's best on offense. One thing that Ron does do that many Pacer fans did not like he hangs on to the ball too long.
