Artest rejected the deal!?!?

yes !

that's cause ron artest doesn't want to be in sacramento !

seriously, if artest doesn't want to come here, i don't want him here! plus, i'll only trade peja if we're getting artest himself. i dont want to acquire artest and then trade him for other lesser players !

Ron (the pin head) Artest said he woud not play in Sac. So the Kings say the trade is off. Gawd I Detest that retard. And am so happy he did that. Of course we will now have to do some kind of trade. If we thought Peja was playing badly before he found out he was trade bait...

yea- peja is a fish without water now..this is ridiculous..hell have to be traded now...especially after he said he wanted to stay in sac and we tried to trade him (even though im sure that was PR)

Who cares what Artest wants. I've always looked at it as Peja for Ron Artest's contract. I don't care if he wants to be here or not, I just want that contract. Don't pull out now.

I think Peja already knew he was trade bait.

This is gonna be very interesting, tonight and on the rest of the road trip.

Peja has his future in his hands. He can withdraw, feeling rejected, etc. OR he can step up and prove himself better than we were giving him credit for.

All in all, however, this truly sucks. No one should have to go through the kind of emotional roller-coaster I'm sure Peja has been experiencing all day. It's just not right...

Why would he do that? He knows Walsh is not going to trade him to a contender or an east coast team, so who does he want to play for, the Lakers?

This is retarted, how can this guy have this much leverage to decide where he wants to go. I agree, if he does not want to be here, then we should not trade for him, but this is ridiculous.

this isn't true. the gms and the owners have come to a decision. there's no turning back
That's not true, tyrant.

The teams agreed to a deal; it was sent to the league pending their approval. Then, while league approval was pending, Artest sent word to the Kings and the Pacers that he would not go to the Kings.

At that point, although Artest did not technically have a choice, the Kings decided not to pursue this any further and withdrew their offer.

That's on SportsCenter.

Jim Gray says chances are the Pacers will now suspend Artest.
