Around the NBA 1/8/2007...

1. Denver loses 5 straight with AI and we are not going to talk about that? Nothing at all? OK...

2. Darko apparently has his own personal troll on KF.com, but upon a closer inspection his numbers this year are same or worse then last year (if we look only at his Magic games last year). Was there ever a more maligned top 3 pick in history of the NBA who can still manage to inspire almost religious zeal in some fans? I think that that Darko blog by a Detroit fan is still up making excuses for Darko...

3. Isaih led NYN screwing Bulls out of Oden pick... You gotta love that. You had MJ, now shut up!

4. With Bosh back Toronto is making a serious push for their division. OK, so they are in Atlantic, but it is Toronto. Basically a Euroleague team + Bosh.

5. Sasha Vujacic with 16 points and a game winning 3 to break Dallas' streak. Is it safe to dust of _allas jokes? What is their version of TDM?

They're still missing their leading scorer, as well as their second (now third)-leading scorer... It's not like them losing five games in a row is surprising, or anything.

What about Chrisitian Laettner? What about Shawn Bradley? You can still find Mavs fans to sing his praises; some of them even post on this board...

The Knicks are still in the lottery, right? Just checking.

+ Bosh and Ford you mean, right?

Prior to last night, the Mavericks had held twelve straight opponents under a hundred points, eleven out of twelve under ninety-five, and eight out of twelve under ninety... you tell me...

what does tdm stand for?

Tony Delk Memorial award - a ficticious award given to a scrub/mediocre player that lights up the Kings for lots of points.

See piksi's threads for examples.

1. Well, we beat them at the current lineup, so obviously they are struggling right now

2. I dont know much about Darko, so im not gonna pretend and try to discuss this one

3. Im confused on this one, forgive me im out of the loop, Bulls had a chance at the number 1 pick?

4. Is it just me or is Bosh basiclly the only thing Toronto has right now? I think some wins are overdue for them now

5. Damn Lakers, thats all

Darko had a very good game last night. WHile he is not a religious experience, I'd pray once or twice to have hime on our team.

He needs to be more agressive, but that should come with confidence and experience.

They're 2 of their last 31 at LAL. You might as well blame it on the curse of Montezuma, Bambino's curse, the Hope diamond curse, Tutankhamun's curse, the curse of the werewolf, the curse of Superman actors, whatever you want.
