I'm definitely more optimistic about the 49ers' future! Gore and Hicks look to be solid RB's potentially, and if Smith can start the season the way he ended the last one, I think a 5-7 win season might be in order! Hey, you gotta have lofty goals right?

Word. Gore and Hicks is an underrated 1/2 combo and Barlow might be healthy. Smith will have a good season. Vernon Davis will be a workhorse. I actually think the niners could get to 8-8...go ahead...call me crazy.
