Anyone see Stephen Colbert at the White House Correspondents' Dinner?

What did y'all think?

I thought he was really funny, some of his jokes were supremely clever, but then again I'm used to the comic stylings of Steven Colbert.

Look for it on Google Video if you haven't seen it yet.

Some of his highlights and what I thought of them:

-The joke about having the press take time off to write that novel about the journalist with the courage to stand up to the administration, "you know, fiction"... genius.

-The metaphor with Rocky... hilarious

-The joke about the female CIA director... haaa

-The joke about boxing a glacier... terrific

-The joke about the glass being half (2/3) empty... hahaaaa

-The 'Titanic/Hindenberg' joke... :D

I don't even know who that guy is, but I wish I had seen it. Sounds funny. Thanks for the Google info, I'll have to look it up.

Now, how long will this thread stay open before someone causes it to be closed by making political comments? :p

colbert was suprememly clever during the white house correspondents dinner. unfortunately, he did go overboard quite a bit. colbert is ever the satirist, but his brand of sarcastic and subtle comedy is directed at a much younger audience than those present at the dinner, the president especially. i'm no fan of president bush, but he is a human being, and he is the president of the united states of america. colbert raked him over the coals in a harsher-than-roast fashion, if ya know what i mean. musta been a bit hard to sit through.
