Another nice Kings article - "The Kings may be for real"

King Baller

All-Star
Excerpt:

"It's still very, very early in the season, but DeMarcus Cousins can do no wrong. Neither can his Sacramento Kings. On Friday night, Cousins scored 25 points and grabbed 18 rebounds as the Kings beat the Phoenix Suns in double overtime, 114-112. Most impressively, Cousins fouled out with 34 seconds left in regulation. The Kings picked up a win on the road without the help of their star player in overtime to improve to 5-1."

I like how the games against the Nuggets have now become "bad" wins for everybody. (have seen this comment popping up on twitter and comment sections)

before that back to back it was "oh boy and it's the dreaded Nuggets back to back, good luck!"

The Rockets have beaten the Lakers, the Sixers, The Jazz and The Celtics and absolutely no one is questioning their credentials.

I agree calling us "for real" is silly at this stage but every win has been a good one.

And the Rockets beat the Spurs minus Timmy and Manu.

Let's see, how Rockets defend bomb squad from Oakland today. Opening night and all, but that is still worst game Curry/Thompson played so far.

He's routinely putting up video game type numbers and they are winning games while he's doing so because he isn't no longer playing on one side of the ball, the media should note that.

Those comments are funny about STR. They're sort of true too. A lot of people were being really negative about the Kings before the season started. Many predicted that the Kings would only have around 35 wins. A lot of them since, have disappeared from commenting during the wins. Even the well known members.

The preseason Vegas over/under on Kings wins for the year was 29.5 Anyone predicting "only 35" wins for the Kings this year was a cockeyed optimist, not a "really negative" person.

Honestly, I wasn't willing to put real skin in the game even at 29.5, even knowing Vivek's motivation would likely result in a mid-season trade if necessary, and that we were probably damn sure gonna win more than 30... I couldn't bet. Could you?? Hope you did.
