Another Marcos Breton article about the Monarchs

I give him credit to replying to my e-mails...he must care that folks want to read his articles..after all it keeps him working. I agree he's not a fan of the WNBA. Maybe he'll surprise us one day!

Maybe he's trying to turn over a new leaf...

I'm still very skeptical.

Plus, the Bee does strongly recommend that their columnists respond to coherent emails, which yours obviously was.

I don't give him that much credit...he has no leaf to turn over. He can never seem to make up his mind if he's a fan or not. He was one in 04 (in the loosest sense of the term-he voluntarily watched a WCF game for a league he would later claim was shoved down his throat), he wasn't in 05 (at least he never professed to have watched a single game during this team's best season ever), the W is crammed down his throat in 06(yet he did break down and purportedly watch a taped delayed game).

He actually wrote a very well argued piece I wholeheartedly agreed with back in 2000 or 2001 re: the first interation of the WNBA's "This is Who I Am" campaign and he had had a conversation w/Ticha about her appearance in some of the related advertising. I think, if memory serves me right, that campaign spawned two columns from him.

Why I also don't give him too much credit is that, tho he does write responses to his emails, they are canned responses. When we compared notes after the "stop whining like Kings Fans" column folks posted their responses on the board and they were all pretty much the same cut and paste job.

(He has however witten in support of Title IX, for women's admittance @ Augusta and local high school and college women's basketball teams - hence why I don't believe he walks with his knuckles dragging on the ground)
