[drupal=119]And so it begins...[/drupal]

With Arco rocking and fans at home all over the world cheering their loudest, the Sacramento Kings battled the Washington Wizards and came away the winners. And they did it on national TV.

This is a young team, a team that is just now finding its identity. The game wasn't perfect and it wasn't without heart-stopping moments of panic. But, in the end, it was just what Kings fans needed it to be. It was a win against a team of seasoned veterans and it showed the world what heart and hustle looks like. And on this night, heart and hustle were wearing the uniforms of the Sacramento Kings.

Thanks to Geoff Petrie for finding the pieces that have started to turn this team around. Thanks to Paul Westphal for being willing to accept a job coaching a team coming off a season so thoroughly mired in the cellar they needed a telescope to spot daylight.

This is the beginning, fellow Kings fans. All the pieces aren't there yet, but we're on our way. Tyreke Evans is so good he scares me. And Omri Casspi is right there, too.

It's about energy and it's about passion. And our young team has it all...and they're at the beginning.

Get your seat on the bandwagon early, fasten your seat belts and get ready for the ride of your life. It's gonna be a whole lot of fun!

It's so fun to look forward to each and every game. Last year, I was counting the days until the NBA Draft. We probably won't make the playoffs but it's going to be great watching them complete every night and watching our young core get better and better. :)

I'll admit that its been a while since I sat on the edge of my seat with the tension building. I actually crossed my fingers when Tyreke went to foul line the last time to hopefully seal the game. I had forgotten what it felt like. Its fun again! :)

last night was the first time watching a kings game in a very long time. i actually got up from bed to wach it. 9:30 central time. thompson has a nice jumpshot. he was knocking them down like karl malone himself. and tyreke, boy oh boy. can you say d-wade. maybe with 1 or 2 trades or signings we'll see this team in the 3-5 seed next year.

WELL said, VF21.

And imagine what our potential will be if we start playing defense!! :D
(Sorry...Mizzou basketball has spoiled me)

Watching the game I actually found it SURREAL to think that the Kings were ever a patchwork of discontented old veterans, scowling on the bench, telling a reporter "they didn't bring me all the way out here to play defense," or walking around Sac town with Team Dime. With the kind of coaches they had after Adleman. And Ron Artest? REALLY??

It's hard to believe it wasn't always like this...a young dynamic exciting team of enormous potential, who love playing together and want more than anything to develop their talent to that next level. Good gosh, in a few short weeks Westphal's Kings have given me selective amnesia! And I LIKE it!!

one thing about the game.. it was pretty exciting down to the wire... it wasnt a beat the other team senseless kind of game and people would turn off the tv saying "meh they won this already"

it was really exciting... i hope it brings more attention to the kings... this year i watched in the tv a total of 4 kings games.. and thats more than last year... i hope to see them more often

also arco thunder! i missed that so loud yes?
