The Kings played well for about 44 minutes. Unfortunately a game has 48 minutes and when the opposing team has arguably the best player in the game today on its roster it's only a matter of time.
No excuses, however. We weren't expected to do much of anything against the Lakers so last night's game was actually better than I had hoped.
The Kings and the Lakers both flew to LA last night, but I'm willing to be they weren't on the same plane. For all the talk around here of no rivalry, it sure looked and sounded like a rivalry last night. The fans in the stands AND the players on the court were acting like they have from the beginning as far as Lakers-Kings games are concerned.
Now the Kings head into Staples to face the Clippers. This is a winnable game, but you have to wonder how much energy the Kings will have. Laker games take a lot out of everyone.
I want to see the heart and hustle, though. And I want to see less of Anthony Johnson. I want to see more of Spencer and especially Shelden. I'd like to see less iso by Artest, but I'm not holding my breath.

Let's get ready for some Kings basketball!
