American Idol - the New Season

The final three all seem to have the same amounts of strenghts and weaknesses, so it's hard to measure who might emerge the winner juding just by singing talent. I do think that Bo's stronger talent for performance will push him past Carrie and Vonzell though.
 
I also think Bo is just different enough to appeal to more voters. Carrie is a lot like Kelly. Vonzell is a lot like Fantasia. Bo is the first rocker, and I think it's time... (By this theory, Anthony was Clay Aikens, and Scott was Ruben.)
 
I honestly don't think Carrie deserves it. From the beginning she has been really inconsistent. IMHO, she is not that good. Vocally she is sounds amaturish. You never know what you are going to get from her. And, I want to watch someone who look slike they are having fun and happy to be there. Not someone who one minute looks scared out of her mind and completely lost and the next minute looks and performs like a robot. She has NEVER come across to me as being comfortable on stage. Vonzell, is great. She is a performer. Bo, is fantastic. Not only can he sing, but he is one hell of a classy showman. He brings experience, life lessons, and talent to the stage and you can see it in every performance. Plus he is having fun. It think the final 2 deserve to be BO and VONZELL. But, I think Carrie underservedly will beat out Vonzell. I know Simon is jonsing for Carrie.
 
You're entitled to your opinion, Daniela, but I think there are a LOT of people who don't agree with you about Carrie. I don't think there's that much difference between the three remaining. And I've seen each of them give less than stellar performances. Carrie's voice has a timbre to it that, with proper training, will really take her a long way. Bo and Vonzell have their strengths, too, and will undoubtedly have lucrative careers, regardless of how they finish.
 
I know Carrie has a lot of support out there and it wouldn't surprise me if she won the whole thing. Like you said, it is an opinion and personally, I do not think her voice is as good as Bo or Vonzell. You are right, with the proper training she could be great, but I didn't think that is what AI was about. You don't vote for who you think will be great in a couple of years after some training. You vote for who is the best now and I think that is BO. Looks aside and basing on talent and persona alone. Bo is it...........IMHO.
And like you said, they are all going to be stars in their own right anyway.
 
Amazing how people's opinions/tastes can differ, isn't it? Guess that's why we have so many different stations on Sirius. :D

Seriously, I think Carrie is talented right now but what I meant was that, with training, she should be able to expand her horizons and not just be a flash in the pan. I wasn't saying that I didn't think she deserved to be in the top three, because I really think she does. In fact, I have no problem with these final three, although I did disagree with when some of the others left...

I like the fact there are three separate and distinct styles in the finals. And NONE of them is named Scott.

VF21 can I get an AMEN to no Scott? Woo Hoo. I would've taken Anwar over Carrie in a heartbeat. But I know she has tons of fans and that is great. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
 
I liked Scott .... I didn't think he would win it all, nor did I think he would have gotten as far as he did.

Deep down inside .... I root for the underdog ... the guy that was picked-on in high school ... they guy that had problems getting dates or meeting girls.

I liked his voice ... he has the potential for soul, r&b and even big band music.

I think Bo Bice just won it all ... Talk about guts. Singing a capella in the finals. And hitting it. I got goosebumps.

Just My Opinions ...

They all did very good tonite ....

Vonzelle's first song was off ...9.0 + 10.0 + 10.0 = 29

*Me, personally ... I didn't particularly care for Bo's acapella song. That's just me. 9.5 + 9.0 + 9.5 = 28

Carrie did not do to well on Shania ... key was too low 10.0 + 9.5 + 9.0 = 28.5


* course the judges loved Bo's 2nd song
 
I'm going to predict the final two will be Bo and Vonzell, but only because I don't see people letting a country girl into the final two...

Bo is gonna win.

She hardly ever votes .... but, when she asked me who I WASN'T voting for, she got her cell phone out and TURNED INTO A TEXT MESSAGING FOOL !!! ;)

What did you think about Clive Davis's remark to Bo about a recording contract, on Nat'l TV ??? I'm sure they all will do well and have contracts regardless of winning or losing.
 
Last night was the best AI this season.

Vonzell-After a rocky start to her first song she nailed it and her other 2. She sounded great last night. She had it all. She was completely comfortable up there and having a ball. She was on.

Bo-WOW. "Sun" was absolutely beautiful. It was breathtaking. His a capella song was perfect. I was worried when Ryan made the announcement that the young fans wouldn't appreciate it, but I don't think I have to worry. It was so strong and heartfelt and wonderful. Satisfaction was good but it seemed easy for him. Hands down, he is a winner.

Carrie-Good first song. Hated the other 2. "Making Love" I thought was pitchy and horrible. She screamed the whole thing. Her Shania # was terrible. She was completely off. And "wooden" is a perfect way to describe her. Thank you Simon.

I believe it SHOULD be Bo and Vonzell. Those 2 really deserve it. We shall see.
 
Best AI Yet ...

This years Top 12 have been the best Finalist in comparison to prior seasons.

The order of elimination may or may not have been to one's likings, but in the end .... the Top 3 were the best this year IMO.

Hate to see any of them go, but somebody has to lose ... I really wanted Vonzell to make it .... I love her voice, her range and her projectability ... she's powerfull ... she'll do fine the rest of her life.

So, here we go ...

Judges have been saying it along .... "Bo, this is your American Idol to win".

They've also been saying "American Idol has never seen a Country singer like you" .... we know who that's directed towards.

Either one is deserving .... I'm not picking, guaranteed, whoever I pick, the other one wins ................ (go Carrie ..... shhhhhhhhhhh)
 
I am dissapointed. I thought Vonzell derserved to be in the final 2. She is just an all around better vocalist, performer, entertainer than Carrie is in my opinion. I was very sad for her. I think she handled last night with class and her head held high. She got my respect last night. I agree with Folsom Al that we will be seeing a lot of her in the future. At least I sure hope so.

Looking to next week, it will be close I think. Both Bo and Carrie have A LOT of supporters out there, so it will not be a landslide by any means. My vote will go to BO if I remember to vote. It should be a really great show next week. Can't wait.
 
Maybe Bo has some kind of eye problem with the stage lights?? But he certainly could pick more stylish sunglasses and not look like a goof.

I agree with you that Vonzell should have been in the final 2. However, I don't feel sad for her because with her singing voice, I think she will get a recording contract.

I'm looking forward to next week. I think Bo will win.
 
I'm with those who didn't especially like Vonzell's last performances. True, she's come a long way but she still needs to work on her voice IMHO. It seemed to me that she was inconsistent about pitch, although she's sure getting the performing part down well. With a little more work I think she's got a great future in front of her.

I was pleasantly surprised that America seemed to feel the same way I did about Bo and Carrie, which is why I predicted Vonzell would be in the final two even though I firmly believed she was the weakest of the remaining three.

Bo will, I think, be the winner.
