A Decision Has To Be Made

Now, OP, you have a better understanding of the problems Keith Smart has in coaching this team in the NBA. No early solution in sight. Welcome to the crazy world of kingsfans.com. If we were a little saner we wouldn't be here. But we do love everybody from the Maloofs to the ball boys. Go Kings!!!!

Wait what? So you are saying the poster is complaining about racism and that Jimmer would be an MVP? That's not what I got from his post at all. I got that this roster is mismatched and the players skillsets don't compliment eachother.

If by "the poster" you mean Italics then yes, I am.

Sorry OP, but nobody has really actually responded to your post yet. They either have no reading comprehension, no decent response, or they just jumped to conclusions based off of your intro and decided to make a response that ended up not being related at all to what you posted.

Good luck getting meaningful responses here. Seriously.

You've really just about worn out your welcome around here. If you find KF so disappointing, you are free to leave. You are not, however, free to continue to violate the "Don't be a jerk" axiom at every opportunity.

Consider this a warning.

i think some are forgetting that Jimmer had no training camp, no summer league and is pretty much being asked to do something he did little of in college. He does show that he has high bball iq and makes good decisions with the ball when he is in control. I have no doubts that Jimmer is a hard worker and will improve his handling in the off season, he should also have a good idea of what he needs to do to help this team. While some are giving up on Jimmer, I think he will improve drastically over the next 2 season, He shows that he has high bball iq and just needs to improve aspects of his game that are holding him back. I still say he ends up starting at pg for us with Tyreke at the 2 by next season. Thornton as the 6th man.

No need to worry about Jimmer yet. His offensive game looks good... with some experience he'll be very dangerous offensively in this league I think. Defensively we'll see.

One problem with giving up so much for Deron Willliams. He has a player option at the end of the season. He can go anywhere he wants.

I am one hundred thousand percent in favor of that. No downside, in my book.

I see a lot of downside. The proposal appears to be: Thornton, Fredette, Hickson, 2012 1st rounder for Deron Williams.

First, I'm not sure we can actually trade that 2012 first-rounder at the deadline, because we've sent a conditional one to Cleveland in the Hickson deal already. Even if we designed some clever "this year if we have it otherwise some future year" deal, I think that would still fall afoul of the Stepien Rule.

That aside, there are two big problems with acquiring Williams. One, he almost certainly doesn't want to play here. Two, he's got a player option this summer, and he'd walk. Hickson is not the problem here, but we're talking about sending away one of our few decent contracts in Thornton, our 2011 first-rounder in Jimmer, and another first-rounder (keeping in mind that we are already one future first-rounder in the hole). We're talking about not only sending away Thornton, but getting zero value from three first-round picks over a 3-5 year period for a two-month rental of a star who's not going to be able to get us into the playoffs because we're too far back? And there's no downside?

The way things are going, unless the Nets swing a trade for Howard, Deron is going to walk at the end of the season. We can try our luck in free agency and see if he really would want to come here (I doubt it). But let's not throw away essentially the sum total of non-untouchable assets (read: not Tyreke/DeMarcus) that we have on a hail mary for the 8 seed this season.

THIS and it's a worthless article from bleacherreport, anyone can write for them.

I don’t knowif anyone else thinks this or if this is just my “biased” perspective, but Ithink the Kings have built one of the weirdest teams I have ever seen. It’s notthat they don’t have good players, but it seems that so many of these playerscould be better on different teams.
Our GM is a very good talent evaluator, especially of players coming from the draft. Sadly, that is all he knows.

I think our best unit involves thomas being on the floor. My 2 cents

After a good portion of yesterday's game, I certainly can't disagree. Watching Isaiah Thomas was exciting, and I could swear he was in two places at once. The kid brings energy and excitement.
