I really doubt it would take 120 days. Stern said something about the relocation process already having been started. i have a feeling that if they file the league will fast track their rejection.

Why would they need an announcement if they were filing though? It seems like if they'd just file. Having an announcement makes me think maybe they're staying.

Actually that sounds really good. The most difficult decision for them would have been to sell. But any way you look at it, it was gonna be a difficult decision for them no matter what they decided.

Not sure about that. Staying would be just as difficult, because they've planned on moving for months and have $70M on the table from Samueli, and $24M per year tv contract they would have to walk away from.

I think all three options are difficult. Go against what you've planned on doing for months. Go ahead and file, against the wishes of Stern and the committee. Or sell.

Well one thing is for sure, the entire Sacramento region will be watching tv at ten am tomorrow. The ratings are likely to be the highest ever in the history of Sacramento. That right there is one reason you say you've decided something and then give the time for the announcement.

Maybe they are just doing what a lot of peole have been whining about and that is bringing us into the loop. If they are going to file, it's best heard from them. If they are staying, they get to try to make up with those of you who for whatever reason hate them. Seems appropriate.

I don't think that's accurate. I think it's a last ditch effort. They're going all in if they file. They're looking at it as Anaheim or bust.

The Maloofs strike me as sort of gutless. I really doubt whether they have the balls to do an interview with a Sacramento TV station unless they were staying. They've gone out of their way for the last two months to avoid Sacramento media and leave town as quietly as possible. Why would they suddenly feel the need to do an interview to tell us they're filing when we've known their intent was to file for some time? Honestly, if they were filing, I think they'd just do it and we'd hear about it when it happened.
