Is this the worst Kings season ever, from an experience POV? I think it is for me.

Yep. Christie finally turned the corner a few games back and went with the flow. Now he's right back to the crack. Devin Carter not playing again? So they can play a 10 day 6 year pro and vets? LOL. Playing Russ an entire quarter? This has 08-09 beat and I can't believe it, haha.

Very much looking like Doug's lost the locker room. Or at the very least, the vets. They're not even pretending to care on defense anymore.
It's hard to hold your head high when you lose sixteen straight and are considered the laughing-stock of the Western Conference.

Losing snowballs. Yet another reason why tanking is a poor strategy. How do you dig out from a mudslide?

I think Dev is hurt, so that gives him a pass there the last few.

The 6 min game 2 games back though? Nope.

Maybe but he's icing up so that usually means he plays. Nah, Christie got Viveks ear and again Vivek fell for the scam. Nothing new. Next we see who Perry is because Vivek always seems to fall for a smooth tongue. At the very least why aren't they giving an actual look to Hayes? They already abandoned Carter and Clifford running the O? Nope. no patience. Rebuilds fail 100% the time with that outlook and the Kings have written the book on it in the last 15 years or so.

I just don't see how Doug can be okey with the product on the court. The selfish bball is hard to watch. There is no defense or ball movement when the vets are in there. They just want to get theirs....

The Kings may be injured with a thinned-out rotation, but it remains unconscionable that 37-year-old Russell Westbrook is hoisting 18 shots in a single half. Madness, that is, and Doug Christie needs to answer for it. Reporters on the Kings beat need to ask if this is the game plan. And if it is, they need to ask why this is acceptable to Doug Christie.

It is the worst season I have ever experienced as a Kings fan. No heart, no smarts, no motivation, poor coaching, poor defense, and all around low IQ basketball. Very hard to watch. I’m pretty close to checking out this season until the draft. Not yet, but close.

I will say that Precious Achiuwa fights like hell every time he hits the court. Tonight, he is having a tough time against the Rockets' front line.

The very few minutes of Non-Russ/DDR actually had us running a few plays, sharing the ball with more than 1 pass per possession. Those 2 are sucking the life out of the rest of the squad and really preventing them from building any momentum and confidence heading into next season. It's staggering Doug hasn't tried to reign this in all year.

above it shows my comment “I misssd the half, did the Keegan injury look bad” and then it shows the comment attributed to SamOah as well. Caccia and Sactownkid both responded to my post ( I think) above

Yeah, that's weird.

Edit: It's *possible* that STK pressed reply on the wrong post, went to the BBCode, and edited the quote without editing the attribution. Otherwise...dunno, that's weird.

I hope this (...gestures...) is all worth it for what is likely the 4th/5th pick in the draft...

And Russ is back in... I am starting to believe Christe is the problem. I didn't want to believe it.....
I think he is very much part of the problem. However, I don’t know if we will find out until the offseason whether he and Perry have been on the same page with respect to the focus of the second half of the season. On the one hand, next year is likely another rebuild year so why not just let DC roll it out there another year. However, I have seen so little in terms of basketball strategy on the court this year, as well as well as a longer term vision by the coaching staff that I really believe DC is a net negative to both winning games and a successful rebuild.

Next season is not looking like a great year to tank but one nice thing is the verdict seems to be in on Christie as not a good coach so if we do suck nobody is going to accuse us of trying to process this. One of Utah's problems is it seems the verdict on Will Hardy based on the first half year after Ainge shipped Rudy and Spida was that he's a really good coach and Ainge is clearly pulling a Hinkie. I have pointed out that bad coaching is definitely one of the things that ruins a great prospect but I do think we can survive one more year with Christie even if he is trash because nobody worth a lick is lining up to coach this team next year.
