Mister Slim Says: In a game that satisfied the pro-tankers and nobody else, the Kings rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime against the Trail Blazers on Thursday night, only to lose on a pair of game-deciding free throws. Tonight, Sacramento has a chance to even the season series, in the second half of a home-at-home. Maxime Raynaud continues to show rapid growth starting in relief of the injured Domantas Sabonis. When he and the other young players are on the court, the game is interesting to watch, at least, so let's hope for more of that.

I went with Jingle Bells because I have the most fun with it ad libbing here and there. Joy to the World is pretty close behind and I love Carol of the Bells but I don't have the slightest idea of the words so it's strictly just a fun humming melody for me.

I'm a little more privvy to the new classics. I think because Cap didn't have it and I am packing to head down to see my mom that I'll throw on A Very Special Christmas today.

I wonder if we see the same starting crew for this one? Achiewa ended up playing only 14 minutes in an overtime game, scoring 2 points on 1-5 shooting. Malik Monk played not at all.

Hard Candy Christmas sung by Dolly Parton. mighty pretty song
I won't question the veracity of that statement, but I don't know if I'd stipulate that "Christmas song" and "Christmas carol" are synonymous. Otherwise "Santa Claus, Go Straight To the Ghetto" would have made the list.

Hell, if I were including Christmas songs, the list would have had a lot more flavor in general.

I'll have a vocative carol, please. Any vocative will do, as long as it's not a "Hark!", of course. An "O" - "O Come All Ye Faithful", "O Little Town of Bethlehem" perhaps, maybe "O Holy Night"... Any of the "O"s.

Ya know, I've heard words like "crushing" and "soul sucking" being bandied about to describe the heist that the NBA calls the last game, but I would hope they don't arrive crushed or soul sucked... my hope and expectation is that they come in F'ing P*SSED.

I know I still am.

Russ at PG, DeMar at SG, and Keegan at SF at least makes sense positionally. Initial May have forced his hand but regardless I'm glad Doug has finally moved away from the 4 guard starting lineup.
It'd be a Christmas miracle if we get another big showing of the youth again.
