Only a few more hours (9 p.m. PST) to the season opener of 24!

Yay!!!

Looks like another good season, if trailers can be believed. Agent Renee Walker is back, the President is back ... and they've added a very enthusiastic Freddie Prinze, Jr. to the cast. I saw him on one of the late-night shows - think it was Craig Ferguson - and he was really jazzed about joining the cast. He wouldn't/couldn't divulge any plot lines, however.

Any other 24 fans still around?

I am soooo looking forward to 24. By the way, according to the tv guide, there is an episode of 24 at 7:00p.m. pst and then there is another episode at 9:00p.m.

According to Fox there is a 2-night 4-hour premiere starting tonight. I am going to watch 24 at 7:00p.m. just to be sure its not from last season.
I'm pretty sure the 7 p.m. episode is the final one from last season, especially since the two hours from 9 to 11 are allocated for the new season. But I'm not going to take any chances either...

BTW? There's an advertisement on Fox about the actress who plays Renee Walker and an upcoming Kings game whee she's supposed to be in attendance. Unfortunately I haven't seen the whole commercial yet...

Hmmm....that's odd because my tv guide said 7:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. and then from 9:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. with the show Human Target in between. I better not be cheated on my program or I won't be very happy.

Yea, I heard she is supposed to be at a Kings game, but I didn't hear the rest of it.

I'm not sure what TV guide you're referring to, but the onscreen program guide for DishNetwork shows 24 (repeat) at 7 p.m., Human Target at 8 p.m. and 24 (NEW) from 9 to 11...

Now my tv is back, but I can't watch 24 in HD, however, I can on the regular local channel. I just checked non-local HD and I can watch it. I've had this problem before when the weather is bad like it is now.

I've never seen the "good" seasons but I did think the last one was very enjoyable after several that were abysmal (imho), so I will watch again this year. Previews seemed to look ok.

Never seen an episode, but I do have season 1 waiting to be delivered soon by Blockbuster after a few other movies are watched first.

Season 6 almost killed the series. It was horrible. Last year, however, was a step back in the right direction. And this year looks to be possibly the best ever. They brought back things that worked and got rid of a bunch of stuff that didn't...

Just for the record....the look of the new CTU is awesome. However, I'm not a fan of Chloe seeming like a n00b and not being the tech wiz.

My guess is at some point the blonde woman that seems to be her manager, that is up on all the latest systems will need chloe, as systems get shut down, and chloe has all the knowledge of the historical systems to ge them back online and keep them getting and receiving information; or something similar to that.

Mark it!

I confess...I'm totally hooked. I was struck by how similar CTU New York is to the old CTU Los Angeles, but after thinking about it I applauded the thought that went into it. Of course it would look similar. These are government installations...

I do not like the new CTU director. Why is it people ALWAYS distrust Jack? He's saved the world seven times and is known throughout the universe and CTU types STILL doubt him???

And Agent Walker is scaring the crap out of me. That's a lady that out Bauers Jack Bauer.

:)

Only one problem with the plot so far...How come some woman can adopt a fake identity and work in CTU with none the wiser? I'd like to believe they vetted personnel a little better than that.

Watching 24 at hulu.com now:

How dare you ask who is Jack Bauer? His face should be on the employee handbook given to every new person coming into CTU?

Obviously the story hasn't gotten this far, but like VF said - Everyone should know who Jack is at thie point. Everyone.

This includes the Russians and every other good group of criminals. I'm surprised they went with Jack as the 'buyer' .. Seems like the Russians should know of him by now.

I saw the advertisement last night and she will be at the Kings game on Jan 30th.

The new CTU director is really starting to get on my nerves and I got to admit so is Chloe.

And what is up with that Kevin guy harassing Dana. He's also starting be annoying.

But I still love 24. :p
By the way, I am glad they added Freddie Prinze.

I'm with you, I don't like the CTU director as well. Why is it that CTU directors always starts as idiots?

As for the second part, CTU should have learned to screen their employees much better since they have had this issue a lot of times before.

All in all, I love 24 a lot(it is my favorite TV series along with Dexter) but the first episodes did not really impress like the previous seasons, IMO, with the exception of episode 4. But I can't wait for Episode 5.

Okay, if you used to be a fan of 24, but left after season 6, you need to come back!

Talk about twists and turns. The writing is back to what it was when you couldn't wait for the next week's episode and actually DVR'd the show so you could fast-forward through the commercials!

What!?!?!?

Well, that sucks. I'm very glad I have all the seasons (except this one, of course) on DVD.

:(

In the meantime, the series will come to a more "definitive" end than in past seasons, Sutherland says, that makes it clear hero Jack Bauer can't continue in his role as CTU's action hero. The series wraps production on April 9 and will air its two-hour finale on May 24.
OMG. They're gonna kill Jack?
