Maxime as in Max as in MAXIMUS! Love this kid. He's getting more minutes and he's getting more comfortable and he's getting his rhythm. That's a pretty good performance by a 22 year old big who hasn't gotten many minutes so far in his first season. Now if Christie starts putting him in high post situations where he can pass to cutters more often he'll look even better. We saw a give-and-go with him at the high post and he made a beautiful pass to a cutter. And we saw two 3-pointers go in, which is not a fluke. This kid can be a multi-dimensional player if given the chance.

I liked seeing Nique in there, but he needs to get some consistent minutes like Max. His confidence is not there on the offensive end because of the way he's been used and because of the paltry and inconsistent minutes he's been given. More consistent minutes, please! And give him the ball as a ball handler! He's a better passer than Westbrook.

Poor shooting nights happen so I’m not worried about Keegan. Can’t wait to see Maxime’s highlights though
Keegan will always be a complete non factor against long athletic players unless he's like the 3rd and even 4th option he just has zero creativity but he's always a plus player overall cause of the D and always playing within himself.

Max is interesting I'm not sure what to make if him , it's hard to know with bigs because if they know how to move without the ball and get playing time they will put up numbers (e.g Jock Landale prior to Edey or Holmes prior to Sabonis, even Tristan Vukcevic put up big numbers when given time), it's worth it exploring but I'm not seeing much of a talent difference between him and a lot of Euroleague bigs he's just had a golden opportunity kind of like Quintin Post (who I personally dont consider to be a NBA caliber player) so far he's taking it with both hands so respect to him for doing so and playing hard/right way. I need more convincing but it's a positive.

The question isn’t Max’s offense (and I’m a fan). It’s can Max guard anyone?

His defensive rating is pretty bad but perhaps other defensive stats are better.

Yeah his defense is pretty bad, but I don’t think it’s any worse than Sabonis on that end.

I have been pretty impressed with his offense. He is definitely improving. He just needs to get stronger and better defensively.

It seems like the guys really try to find him on offense too. He is already worlds better than Drew so I hope we never have to see Drew again once Sabonis returns.

I don't understand what they're doing with Carter. He's too good for the G League but too bad to even sniff the court during a blowout?

This franchise is so dumb it's like watching the sequel to Idiocracy at this point.

Be careful, this almost sounds like youre putting some of the decision making on Doug for his rotations

Only saving grace is at least we're losing. I don't care who is making the decisions, they're ridiculously stupid.

Carter would be on the floor more often if he was playing for OKC because at least they put in their bench guys if the game is a blowout.

They're even making Ellis look bad. He has to nervously jack up shots quickly or else he has to deal with Russ, DDR, LaVine and Monk spamming shots all game.

Can't wait when Keon and Carter are key rotation players on playoff teams in the next 3 years. We've waited for so long to get defensive talent like this on the team and we are actually just going to throw it away

Did DC really think he was going to coach defensive talent into a bunch of 35 year old guys who were never defenders in the first place? He can't be that naive, but who knows?

I still don't know if Carter is an offensive NBA player but his defense is NBA ready, he just needs time on the court to stop getting whistled all game but why worry about that when he can't even play the last few minutes in a 20+ blowout?

Keon is ready to help a playoff team right now. He would be one of the better 3&D players on a team like the Warriors. There's a reason why fans randomly try and sneak him into trade deals all the time. Everyone seems to know what this guy brings to the table except for his own bosses. Now they've tanked his value and thrown away their leverage. All so they could sign and play guys like Russ and Schroder. Crazy.

Depending where he ends up, Keon will almost assuredly play a role on a playoff team. Going to sting for sure

Doug Christie at this point just needs to say after games, “I need to go look at the tape” and we will have the second coming of Luke Walton. DC actually may be worse which is something

Yeah I’ve seen nothing encouraging from a coaching perspective.

I find myself wishing we could go back to the days of Mike Brown and having Fox as our PG.

Patience friends, we gotta play the vets to move the vets.

Well, maybe not Zach, we're playing him to secure ping pong balls.

If the vets played decently, yes. If the vets play poorly, no.
But, if the vets don't play, we risk the chance that no one will take them...So, the point is, regardless of how they play for us, in the moment, they must be played in order to showcase them to potential trade partners so that it then becomes easier for us to send them packing for something respectable in return. If they don't play much or at all, whether it be decently or poorly, we may end up being stuck with them past the deadline, or would have to take back useless assets in a potential deal. And then what???
