I don't know if I should feel bad for the Rockets, or not, but man, that franchise has not been able to find themselves much luck over the years when it comes to playoff basketball. They've had so many good teams, but none good enough to take them to that next level.
Spurs is going to trade Fox for a wing.

Yep, not gonna happen for them. They lost the rebounding without Wemby. Their rim protectors got out of position a lot and led to a good amount of offensive rebounds that led to 3s, especially in the 3rd
You say that like having a player the caliber of Fox as your third-best player is a bad thing?
Worst case scenario is Fox has proven that he's not a lead guy; there's worse things you can say about a player.

Like if you surveyed every GM right now who would they pick Harper or Fox if they had to choose, 32 out of 32 pick Harper. Like if there’s a Kalshi bet on who will have more all-stars in their career, Harper would be a 1000-1 favorite. Like if you watched today and saw Fox deferring to Harper, yes even he knew the pecking order will be Harper before him.

And? Most GMs also aren't building for the 2026-27 season, so that has more to do with Harper being three years younger (and having more perceived upside) than Fox, than Harper being better than Fox right now.
If you say so. There's definitely a greater-than-zero percent chance that Harper ends up with more career All-Star selections than Fox. "1,000-to-1" odds? You're going to have to make me believe. Even if Harper ends up being better than Fox, that still doesn't mean he'll make more All-Star teams, if only because he plays out west. Hell, Jrue Holiday cooked Fox tonight, and he has made the All-Star team the same number of times as Fox has. So has Ja Morant. So has Darius Garland (who is also making "Fox Money" to be his team's third-best player). Jamal Murray's only made it once.

I am. Because my point is that Fox isn't the only third-best player (fourth-best, according to some apparently) on a good team, and he isn't even the highest-paid one.
$60M seems like a lot of money based on the current salary cap. By the time Fox's salary hits that number, the Gary Trent Jr's of the league will be making that much.
