I said it once he hit the waiver wire, but Simmons would be a compelling potential fit with this roster.

LaVine/Monk
Ellis/Monk
Simmons
Murray
Sabonis

I honestly don't know if Simmons has anything worthwhile left to offer an NBA franchise, but theoretically, this goes a long way toward solving the problem of defense, length, AND playmaking in the starting unit. You can flex Monk and Ellis in and out of the starting lineup depending on if you need more scoring or more defense. It's interesting, if nothing else.

If Domantas is demanding a "PG", then he'd be as far as I would go if I were GM. But only if that deal were no longer than 2 years. I'd put him at 50/50 being a total bust for the Kings. He looks cooked. Spacing wise Domantas would probably hate it as well but careful what you wish for.

Refs really tried lakers are cooked they can’t hind Luka as much as Dallas did before the Boston series. Minnesota got either an open theee or layup whenever Luka was switched on as the POA defender

Credit to Luka, he did have a couple of possessions there where he showed he can play defense. If he wanted to.

Memphis really might not be too much better off than the Kings lol

They just fired their coach for some reason, their players are always hurt, Ja can’t stop pointing fake guns at people, JJJ is eligible for a huge extension, and they just traded draft assets to get off of Marcus Smart’s contract for some reason.

No one is beating this OKC team 4 times. It’s cute watching people argue in other threads over these other teams that have no real chance

If Boston and the OKC make it all the way the league has definitely changed. Perry better be legit on his defense matters stance in those interviews because if a team can't defend, they don't matter. The shooting 3's with a bunch of one dimensional shooters era is RIP.

I have a profound sense of cognitive dissonance watching the Oklahoma City Thunder. Let me first say that I consume sports-as-entertainment in such a way that the actual results of a game (in terms of wins and losses) have minimal impact on my ability to enjoy it. Until VF21 passed away, I was spending most of my time in here because when people come into the NBA folder, it's usually to discuss games/teams for which they have little-to-no rooting interest. Which, in turn, means that they were just watching games for the sake of enjoying the games themselves, without the need to attach whether they enjoyed the game to whether or not their team won. Which strikes me as the superior way to consume sports-as-entertainment, in my Personal Record Book™. If a game is competitive, I'll enjoy it. And, if a game is not competitive, I still might enjoy it, out of sheer appreciation for whatever the winning team is doing to make the game non-competitive. I was absolutely fascinated watching the Grizzlies/Thunder game, just because I wanted to see how thoroughly Oklahoma City could dominate Memphis... If I have an unpleasant experience watching a game, ninety-nine point nine-nine repeating percent of the time it's because other fans ruined it for me.

I said all of that to say this: the Thunder are a team that I feel like I would root for and like to succeed, in a vacuum. But over the last decade I have been so soured by other fans watching these guys with hearts in their eyes, and wanting their GMs/ownership to copycat what they're doing, that I want to see them fail, just out of spite.
