[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

Trade him to the highest bidder by all means. I think he faceplants again outside of Shanahan.
Notice I used the word "doubt" -- it could be he actually is - in which case I'd lock him up with Purdy.....we've learned his value this season.

Best game of the weekend, Eagles@Bills, close 2nd Texans@Chargers

I see Darnold was named to the Pro Bowl - a questionable selection - a QB who has a 4+ interception game in the season I have reservations to make the pro-bowl. Darnold will be the Seahawks undoing - Woulda picked Williams - Prescott was correctly nominiated ..... won't mind a 49er loss to the Bears, but the Seahags? Although unexpected, a win would be lovely.....the only other NFC team besides the Hags this 2025 season in the field I wanna see outed is the Eagles. On AFC, the Patriots getting back in too early, so will be enjoying their exit as well when it occurs.

Here are teams pulling for:

Mine in order:
NFC - 49ers, Bears, Panthers, Rams; AFC - Bills, Chargers, Jaguars, Texans

Teams left in order of despise: Eagles, Seahawks, Patriots.

With the Chiefs out, my 'despise-meter' is cut down to an eighth of what it was. In other words of the teams remaining, none can hold a candle to the Chieflettes. A lovely Chief-less playoffs to be had and hopefully runs into next season too with no more Kelce.

Bears have something like a +21 TO differential to the Niners -4, yet they've given up 30+ more points on the season than the Niners have. If the Niners can take care of the ball, they can score on this team.

Packers are backing into the playoffs. The injury bug hit em pretty hard.....Very Likely playing the Bears again - what a great Wildcard game.
Usually Wild Card weekend is forgetable - maybe 1 great game outta 6 and 1 or 2 mediocres and 3 or 4 duds, but I dont think this year. This year's wild card may be the best set of games in a decade at least. I'm thinking you can flip those possibilities this year.

Onto the Bears game this evening - think Bears win going away in a moderately high scoring game - 49ers defense gets worked and the offense can't keep up with a couple turnovers. Johnson will unleash Williams to expose the 49ers lack of speed on defense. and the Bears running game gets going. For a similar result, think of the Bears win over the Eagles with a higher points total.

Anthony Wright and Nashon Wright both became ill. If A Wright is out, it hurts the running game. Also, if Bears can’t get turnovers, then it could be a problem. Purdy taking care of ball of late.

I don’t follow the NFL close enough to know if all this is accurate, but it’s funny. Anyone who follows it closer like to verify?
