2005 Indianapolis Colts

They are up 28-3 over the Titans with 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter and most likely will stay undefeated at 12-0. Funny how they went 0-5 in the Preseason.

They currently have the #2 defense in the league and #1 offense.

Their remaining matchups look like this as of 12/4.

@Jacksonville: #3 defense, #16 offense.
San Diego: #15 defense, #2 offense.
@Seattle: #11 defense, #4 offense.

Arizona: #29 defense, #19 offense.

They are playing great on both sides of the ball and have one of the best shots at going 16-0 since the Dolphins. I think they can beat Jacksonville with Byron out but the true tests will be San Diego and Seattle. If they go 3-0 for the next 3 games I dont see how they can rest their starters vs Arizona. Build a good lead by half and then take out everyone.

time to break another streak.
I really like Chargers. I've got Gates and LT on my FF team, so I really, really like them. Still, SD should take one for the team, lose to Indy so we don't have to ever see Larry F Zsonka opening champaign on our TV's. ;)

it gets fuzzy once they get around to playing the Seahawks, since both teams may have everything locked up (playoff wise) by then.
very true. will they rest the starters or not? imho, i don't think so. rooting for them against jax this week, i just want in the playoffs any possible way.

I like the,m for the Super Bwol this year. If they beat the Patrioits then they can win any game. I thought that the Colts and Patriots game was a big one for them. If they win they gain confidence and win many more games and I thought they could win the Super Bowl. If they lost then they would lose confidence and lost to Patiots when they do agsain like last year. They won and I have them go for Manning's first RING!

I see them going undefeated depending on whether or not they play their starters for the rest of the season. I know the Dolphins in the 70's were undefeated. I was just wondering if any other team has done it.
I like Manning I hope he does it. It's not like they're going to be playing Niners in the Super Bowl, sigh.

Chicago Bears all the way :) !!!
i'm rooting for them this week against the steelers! take them out of the wild card race. it could end up being three teams from the afc west in the playoffs. has that ever happened before, three teams from one division?

Part of Loopymitch's post:
I know the [Miami] Dolphins in the 70's were undefeated. I was just wondering if any other team has done it...
The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the only team that went all the way to the Super Bowl Championship and went undefeated that season. Keep in mind that there were less regular-season games than there are now.

Since then, several members of that '72 team (especially Nick Buoniconti) usually raise a champagne toast to the last remaining team that loses its first game during the regular season. Apparently, they want to be the ONLY team to finish the season with an undefeated record.

I remember some years ago, he even gave a pre-game pep-talk to a team (I can't remember which one) that was facing a team who was threatening to beat the Dolphins' record. It must have worked, because the then-undefeated team lost.

I hope they do go undefeated, as long as the Broncos don't have to face them in the first round again.
the donkies will face them, and lose again. peyton seems to have your number.

or the broncos have just never been close to as good as peyton's colts. they're better this year, at least they seem to be playing better than previous years which doesnt exactly say if they match up better, but dont write them off

I don't think the Broncos have no chance against the Colts, but I'd prefer to get at least one playoff victory under our belts before we face the dominant team. It's been a long time since we've won one

I never root against any team from the home state but I must say I dont think they are going undefeated.

Actually never been a Colts fan, before I moved here to Sactown area the Colts I think moved to Indy a year before. I hated them then... it was the ole COLTS SUCK mentality. Plus really, honestly does anyone out there not believe in Parcells. ITs a SB this year!

patriots and panthers again... rematch from 2 years ago.. im calling it now.
LOL. Ummmmmmmmmm...........no. I really doesn't matter who comes out of the NFC, they will be beaten. Three teams in the AFC West alone could beat either one of them.

^of course Dallas is 2-2 against the AFC west which is pretty good IMO. Considering 1 loss was to Oakland by 6 pts (a team not even in contection) and the other to the division leader by 3. I will make a bet the AFC west will not have a team in the sbowl.

NFC will have Dallas, possibly Seattle but they always choke it away. :) objectively the NFC is up for grabs with Seattle leading the charge.

Sanity, I don't really get what your saying... I never said that the panthers would win the SB... I said they'd make it... And the nfc's up for grabs so I'd think they can make it... And new england will reach it again and win for the 4th time in 5 years...

I'm kinda buzzing it right now, so I won't argue further than that
